I venTed on this forum for the first time yesterday and never thought id get so many responses about this topic.Everyone says the game must evolve but why mutate it? 343 took one of the best multi-player games and flipped it on its head. Battles are now determined by Spartan abilities instead of a players raw skill. I’m all for change so don’t go calling me a purist, but why fix something that isn’t broken. Small mechanical changes should be made from edition to edition, but to stRay from what got halo here in the first does not seem right to me. I cant even move around the map with out having to grab onto ledges and pull myself up, making my weapon useless because it isn’t readied. What happened to fluid movement around entire maps with Crouch jump? Oh wait they rendered that useless and it’s not even a staple in this game. Yes I use the radar and have excellent map awareness, but chaos always has a great chance at winning in this game now. I’m all for evolving, I just feel like I’m playing a mix of 20 different games now instead of specificaly halo.
I really don’t think anything can be or will be done. Maybe an Arena playlist for those of use that don’t believe that by simply adding more mechanics to the game and sone detaed maps you have made it better.
Once again this is all opinion. This post is because I just really can’t see destroying the identity and culture halo built in its early years.

Funny I always wanted a clamber function just because what kind of super soldier can’t even pull themselves up past a ledge right above them.

Clamber is my least fav ability, I miss have to crouch jump on maps.
@OP: Perhaps evolving maps would have been a better direction to go in. Could also dream up some new game types.

Crouch jumps were so overrated. Everyone thought they were so skilled when the used it but it simply comes down to knowing where to use it. Clamber is much better. Everyone can use it and it works anywhere.

The kind of supersoldier that decides to not havr those features because gameplay over lore.
I would keep clamber and sprint the way they are and remove the rest for the AAs from Reach. Everyone says they are OP and unbalanced, but they really just require you to think strategically.
