Spartan Abilities Big Team

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how the new abilities might play out in large maps/big team games. I have some ideas, which at the very least would be interesting.

  1. Mongoose passenger uses thruster to give the goose a boost!
  2. Spartan charge vehicles to flip them and send them tumbling.
  3. Ground pound to severely damage or even destroy vehicles. (Wouldn’t really be a fan of completely destroying them, at least on heavy vehicles.)
  4. Bail out of flying vehicles, slowly descend from the sky (stabilizer) while picking off enemies from above.
  5. Maybe some small entry points to bases that you can get through by sliding (it really needs some more usage).
  6. Slide underneath Ghosts.
  7. Super launch on man cannons by thrusting at apex.

IDK, just some ideas. I’m really into big team and really FRUSTRATED that they have said/shown nothing on it!

your gonna be waiting for a while then, beta is strictly 4v4 on two maps…

Those are actually done pretty neat ideas. I’d welcome them into the sandbox.

When halo 2 came out, boarding, and changes to the way MC jumped and the lack of fall damage dramatically changed the way maps were designed and how battles flowed. Both for the better. If MCC, thought about these types of dynamic uses of these mechanics, it could have a similar effect.

  • This sounds neat!- Probably only on things smaller than a Warthog, and only from the side.- That sounds a bit broken IMO. Probably only on small vehicles, in which case it’s balanced by their speed.- Cool!- Like the sound of that.- They might be a bit low for that, but still cool.- Superman, ho!

If this happens then we can effectively say goodbye to vehicular combat. Ground pounding or Spartan charging a moving vehicle should splatter the ground pounder or charger. I wouldn’t mind if slight damage was caused to non-moving vehicles, but no where near enough to heavily damage or destroy them.

This sounds pretty cool, I’m down for that.

I’d like this as well. I love having multiple entry points to bases on maps, especially if there are buttons which can be activated to open or close specific entrances/ exits.
