So with a high chance of Elites returning how will Spartan Abilities be for Elites?
If Spartan Abilities are relatable to Dual-wielding and boarding then they have to be available to Elites right?
What Spartan Abilities could include Elites?
Would Elites have their own abilities?
Thruster packs have been talked about a lot so lets think about something new!

I figure if Elites return I would see them getting similar/identical abilities. Similar to Reach if Spartans get a thruster then I could see evade returning for Elites.
For the most part though I see the abilities being the same in cases like dual wielding or boarding in the past.

When I think abilities I think a specialty of some sort like Pilot or Sniper. Since it is relatable to the dual-wield and boarding feature I donât think that would be it though.
Come on now we can think of something else besides thruster packs canât we?

Idk lol, maybe give elites a mega strafe ability. Since CE, Elites have been known to be very effective at doing great side step strafes. Give them the shuffle shuffle ability B)

I have a feeling that a lot if lore folks, or Sanghelli fans would not take a liking to Elites being Spartans or trying out to be. They have their own armor and classes. It would be simpler for Spartan Abilities, like you said, but very awkward lol.

I just think that would confuse people who are new/not caught up in the universe.
âWait why does that Elite look like a Spartan? What is going on? Who is Halsey?â

I would like to know what you think Spartan Abilities could be and how Elites could have them. Get creative and think what could be relatable to Dual-Wielding and Boarding!

Itâs just a title that brings respect and responsibility with it, nothing else.
Elites can be every bit unique as they are now. Theyâd just be holding a title.

Emphasis on the word âtitleâ.
As for what I think the abilities will be, personally I think that the abilities will be completely based around the use of the Truster pack.

They should know enough from Reach and Halo 4âs Spartan Ops to know who Halsey is and why Spartan Elites could be a possibility.

If Spartan Elites were introduce so suddenly and without explanation besides âJul has Halsey and she wants revengeâ donât you think people would be slightly confused. Not to mention all this would be so that âSpartan Elitesâ could just have Spartan Abilities.
What a confusing way to do that. This is why I am worried that 343 might not have Elites because of canon MP and âSpartanâ Abilities. Maybe they arenât even called Spartan abilities and were called that to let us know that new mechanics would be in H5.

343 Stated several times that things like Armor Abilities or any resembling them wonât take part in Halo 5 as it is returning to its roots. These Spartan Abilities are something ALL Spartans can inherently do, such as hijack a vehicle. Things like a jet pack or roll are obviously not going to be part of it as these mechanics are meant to be used by everybody mechanics. So no, Elites are not going to get their own new set of skills because there are no new set of abilities in the first place. Oh and, damn I would love seeing Brutes in the multiplayer, that, with 16 v 16 matches and being able to make your own Clan like in Halo 2 would result in some pretty epic scenarios.

So we know that AAs are gone but if you could provide a source for anything resembling because that will kill the thruster pack/evade theory .
I donât think elites are making a comeback into multiplayer for Halo 5, they seem very cemented on the Spartan vs Spartan idea and I think that while the name âSpartan Abilitiesâ doesnât confirm that elites are not returning, the odds of them coming back and using âSpartan Abilitiesâ seems pretty low to me.
Things like evade would fit as âelite abilitiesâ. The covie counterpart to thruster/slide.

Halo 4 lost a lot of people when Elites were taken out. It wouldnât be the best decision to not include them. 
Not to mention the amount of people asking for Elites in MP and for them to be ignored because 343 doesnât want to make abilities for Elites would not be a good decision.
If these abilities are relatable to Dual-Wielding and Boarding then Elites should be able to do them.

I understand that thrusters were in the teaser trailer but they are Spartan Abilities meaning that there is more than one ability.
Get creative and think of something new!
