Wow. All I can say is wow. 343 have recently announced that there are a new breed of Spartans. I wonder how they’ll be able to fit all this into the games canon. I really believe that with regards to story, 343 definitely might nudge Bungie as they already have a massive foundation on which to build.
Spartan 4’s in multiplayer also means that there should be Halo Reaches armoury for customization. This is speculation but it would make sense. Please post any information you have on this new breed of Spartans and I’ll be sure to update it in the main post so it is easy to gather information for people.

I haven’t got grasslands. To be honest I reckon it would be stupid to introduce things in a game if you have to read every book.

It actually doesn’t say anything useful about the spartan 4 project at all.
What I find most interesting about this is that it gives us a frame of reference for how much time has passed since the end of Halo 3; Time enough for a Spartan IV program to come to fruition. So, since Glasslands indicated there WAS a Spartan IV program, we know it was at least started shortly after H3. Therefore, a maximum of 20-30 years has passed. (depending on how far along the Spartan IV program was at the end of H3)

Lol yeah, it kinda reminds of the whole Super Saiyan stuff in DBZ, but they stopped at number 4, so I hope 343 does the same. Spartan Vs would be super-cheesy.
