Crouching is worse to deal with than jumping.
I only saw one player doing that in MCC, long ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Yeah, I hate it too. But I do not see any practical way for it to go. Implementing a cooldown on it can result in a massive hindrance in some situations, whatever they may be.
This HAS to be a troll. Besides the fact that anyone smarts knows jumping is bad during a fight, how is it “annoying”?
I like it when my enemies jump around… It makes tracking them very easy since you will know exactly which trajectory they are going.
Oh sweet Summer Child… We called them “Bunny Hoppers” back in the Halo 3 days. They’re the reason the “Bumper Jumper” control scheme exists.
I hate it too, but it’s nothing new at all.

just take the guns out and no one will have to jump at all, how bout that?
huh??? jumping locks you into a predictable movement pattern which is incredibly easy to track. strafes in this game are 10x harder to deal with.

Jumping is definitely not a unique tactic. It has been used in every Halo (I was doing it against friends and coworkers with CE in 2001). It even predates Halo, I was doing it in university in the 90s with Quake, Quake II, and Unreal Tournament.

the game needs updated mechanics and animations and these things wouldn’t be an issue.
We still have people considering crouching while jumping a skill…im sorry but it is sickening.
I mean, in an FPS game you do the most to throw off someone’s aim so that you can come out on top. It’s like when an NBA player makes their opponent believe they’re gonna pass the ball or shoot it from where they’re standing, but then they do something completely different and the other person never saw it coming. So with your logic should fakeouts be barred from sports?
I think that the moment you get someone in your sights, they should be frozen in place so you can kill them more easily 
This is actually funny to read, while some people jump a lot - more people crouch now in fights than they ever did prior to 5.

Why is it annoying? I’m curious what your train of thought is. Is it harder to kill people who are jumping?
