Spam is ruining Blitz

The whole point is build a deck and run it with random cards.

A full deck cycle is 30 energy.

People just spam honour guards or locusts or sentials. It’s a stupid never ending cycle of breaking the point. What if I want to JUST PLAY? No? Not allowed? I have to be sweaty and use your scrub tactics of 1 of 3 things? Great THANKS.

It’s called strategy.

They give you the ability to cycle for a reason.

Despite not being traditional, Blitz is still an RTS gamemode.

No, spamming isn’t a strategy anymore then solving a maze by getting a staff members map and just using that is. Sure, TECHNICALLY it works, TECHNICALLY you met the criteria and did it. But really your just cheating. Blitz is meant to force you to use a variation and think. If you was meant to spam one unit it wouldn’t have a cost in the first place.

But it does have a cost. And it’s 35 energy to full cycle by the way. That’s +35 energy cost they are taxing onto every single unit they are spamming. Just to get 4 units of the same type they have spent an extra 140 energy. If you can’t come up with a viable counter with those extra resources, that’s your own problem. Maybe you need to revise your own deck with counter units.

Wow this is hilarious, you guys think that’s how blitz games are won?

Look at my win percentage. Half of those loses are due to spammed units. Locust and senitnals and honour guard espessially because they just run off and heal.

At that point though they have four blood fuel locust, which can kite their counters. Honour guard just cloak attack and then as soon as they get to half use their almost faster then air movement speed to peg it.

Can’t see your win percent for blitz, unless I just can’t find it.
Either way the strategies you described are easily countered.

What I mean is learn how to counter them. Think.

There’s all sorts of ways to use your units and leader powers. Plenty of them can be used to ruin the enemy’s day.

They’ve gone through a ton of energy to get that one specific unit they wanted to spawn, they are down on energy. Counter.

Honestly though, if they’re going through all the trouble to spam a single type of units then you should just spam counters. If they’re spamming locusts you don’t have to go the entire deck looking for counters. Since they’re spamming vehicles you could throw out hornets/banshees along with cylcops/hunters and perhaps Kodiaks/blisterbacks too. They will spend 45 + 60 energy for each bloodfuel locust which should give more than enough energy on them to come up with some counters(and if you don’t have enough energy to counter 4 locusts then you need to be focusing more on energy gathering). For me I’ve found building a highly versatile deck with a lot of counter units mixed with low cost core units and a couple of 100+ power cards to work quite well for me.

I like it when people try to play locusts vs my UNSC deck that has two Cyclops variants, Vultures (their Y ability one shots a blood-fuel) and a Spartan. They haven’t been an issue at all in the launch version.

The only cycling that beat me so far was hard to judge as they had clearly paid for packs with level 7 Forge’s Warthogs vs my 2.5 level deck with level 1 Honor Guard and weak anti-vehicle in general. Even with all that it was a close game that felt winnable had I played a bit better and counter-cycled more for what I did have, didn’t seem like the strategy itself was particularly good.

You’re both welcome to say how, rather then just saying it can be done. If I knew this “easy counter” do you think I’d be salty about it?

Pay to win is actually ruining Blitz.

Only seen 1 p2w player to be fair, but yeah when you get one it SUCKS. After level six it doesn’t matter much because it’s only 1% per level (so I’ve been told) so a level 10 unit is only 4% better then level six. But before six it’s just insanely op.

Like someone else mentioned above, once most people get their decks up to level 6 the pay 2 win aspect will be far less noticeable. Essentially it’s pay 2 get up to par quickly. Keep doing those daily and weekly challenges and you’ll be there too

Just put both wolverines or both Reavers in your deck if you find a lot of sentinal spammers, or play Anders if you think Locusts are too big of a problem, just have all 3 Cyclops in your deck with the attack range increase card and kite more than they can. I have personally never seen anyone spam anything, maybe the decks you are using are not good against those types or don’t have the right cards

I just think people don’t know how to play blitz properly

Thats correct. The game mode is not “Pay 2 Win”.

Paid card leveling which gives the payer an advantage during a match is genuine pay to win.

Even when you have level 4 cards and I have level 2 cards, you won’t automatically win. Strategy still matters.

While your deck is key, grabbing resources is just as important. Win the resource battle and win the ability to cycle your deck for the better cards. It amazes me how many games I play and the other team just ignores the resources.
