I can’t hear someone shooting me 3 ft to my left, but the guy I am engaged with is 10x as loud. Is that just me or is anyone else having this issue? People literally on top of you and it sounds like they are on the other side of the map.
Considering Warzone had literally the worst sound placement I’ve ever encountered I think the problem comes from basing it around a small map…modern warfare had amazing sound placement, but switching to a larger map just messed it up. Could be the same here…tbh I’ve not noticed it…but that could be my adrenaline pumping from how much I’m enjoying it!
This is by far worse than warzone…
Halo on Xbox One
Anyone else having this issue recently? I think it was October 1,2021 it started. I have a 7.2.4 system and the front sounds more hollow and more empty during game play now. As well as when I click through the gaming options it sounds more empty. All my settings are the same. My system works with all other devices.
The front as a whole sounds like it is missing the full rich sound it used to have.
Suggestions?
I use HDMI (swapped cables, made no difference)
Swapped ports on my Marantz receiver (made no difference)
Recalibrated all my speakers (made no difference)
All speakers do work.
Tried different sound fields on the receiver (each one sounded as they should, but none bring back the full rich sound)
Hard reset of the Xbox (didn’t fix it)
In Bitstream with Dolby Atmos (Tried the DTS and it didn’t help either)
Any tips or anyone else have this issue and fixed it?
I figured it out…apparently I blew out the front right and front left tweeters in the tower speakers…so that was causing the problem. (got new speakers, problem solved)
