Spacetraveling

If Halo is going to be an open world game I hope we can spacetravel to different planets and locations like in Destiny. Would be cool to have the oppurtunity to spacetravel to earth, zeta halo, the ark, other rings, different planets, saingheilios, home planets to alle the different alien races etc.
And if we had this we could have a garage on Infinite in a online lobby where we could customize our own spaceships and vehicles with skins. We could travel on the different locations with warthogs and ghosts that are customized and take on sidequests.

It’s still early to tell how Halo Infinite will be. That would be interesting to see in Halo, but does the freedom to travel to other planets affect the way we feel about Halo? Will that feel like Halo? I have no idea. I would love to have some campaign replayable value, and traveling and exploring would do that.

I would prefer they not clutter up Halo like this.
Its basically a glorified menu/loading screen that just makes it take longer to get to what I want to do.

I’d be okay if the loading screen uses all the Halo sound tracks. I’d sit there and be in awe.

I don’t think it will affect Halo as long as the level designs stay mystic, giant and alien. I think this mechanic could fit very good in Infinite.

I’d be ok if the loading screens had music as well. I just don’t want to have to click on a planet to “travel” to then watch my guy fly there. Destiny travel screens get old fast and I’d prefer them to stay out of Halo

But would slipspace travel get old to watch?

Don’t see why it wouldn’t. If its a for a cut scene in the single player go ahead with it. But if I have to fly up to space, select a location, and then fly to it, instead of just being able to select it from the first spot, it adds unnecessary mechanics and steps and takes away from actual game play. Most people don’t play games to look at fancy loading screens.

What about an online lobby on the Infinity spaceship and on the ship you can go and talk to Lasky or Palmer and select a planet you want to visit and then you can travel around in an customized warthog and the travel cutscene is skipped

Well again, why do I need to walk around on the Infinity to select a planet. Why could I not do that from the main menu?
I am all for a social space, but not if it means adding necessary steps to do basic things such as selecting a mission. As long as it isn’t something forced on the player then sure do it. But I don’t want to go through more menus than I should have to.

I’m personally not a fan of the planet-to-planet idea, but Halo has proven it’s capable of making airborne/space combat fun. I’d rather it be used for a portion of a mission like how Reach did it (or even something more linear like Halo 4), but it should be focused on intense gameplay rather than just casual exploration.

Why do I have to walk around and talk to people and go through all that?

Why can’t I select a mission/map & mode from the menu and just pop up on a map with as little fuss as possible?

Was just an idea, and you didn’t like it

Open world Halo ring sounds good enough for me but sure space travel would be rad too. Just wondering how open the world actually is or are the levels just more spacious but still linear …
