Space multiplayer in halo 6 and ideas?

There should be space combat multiplayer in halo 6. Reach’s space combat is by far I considered the best example of how space combat should work in halo in both sp and mp. For multiplayer, my idea would be this:

  1. Both teams start as fighters that can be chosen from existing ones in the universe (UNSC: Sabre, Longsword, Broadsword, Pelican; Covenant: Space Banshee, Seraph, Phantom) each with different attributes and loadouts.
  2. Gameplay will work like reach’s in terms of fighter controls
  3. Players would eventually spawn their own customizable ship(class and whatever name they decided to use) and control when they require enough kills or something else. However, there would be a limit on number of ships per team.
  4. There would be ai and you can board ships.
  5. Destroy ships by disabling engines, turrets, and other important structures
  6. 5 maps taking place during important events (harvest campaign, fall of reach, battle of earth, battle of the ark, requiem campaign) and 1 Infinity assault map like that forge map. Some maps would have stations and platforms present.

Pretty much it’s Halo Reach space combat and SW:BF with ship combat. Share your thoughts on the topic and if you want it, post your ideas (no forging, I’m talking about dev-made mode).

Ah… Star Wars battlefront 2 space combat… Now that would be a treat for a sci-fy gaming series that lacks space combat. I only dream of such an event

You know you screwed up when halo has space combat and SW:BF doesn’t.

Could be a cool idea. We already have a functioning Pelican if you look at Halo 4, so that could work. Take out the Sabre, though. Definitely was a cool craft but if this was a thing then it wouldn’t fit lore wise. That and the UNSC has one more ship than the Covenant and that seems a bit unfair.

Definitely would have to put in something new and innovative in the mode, something different than customization and specific attributes. Otherwise it’s a Halo-themed BF2, and we all know Disney and EA hate when similar content is produced by third parties.

If there are other ways to make it completely different from BF2, I would like to hear it.

Space combat in Reach was a nice, fresh addition to the Halo formula. Would love to see it return.
