Do you hope/think we’ll get some more space combat in halo 4. In Matchmaking and/or Campaign.

I don’t, to be honest. The options were far to limited and the combat, even on Mythic difficulty, was not challenging. It felt more like a grind than a fun Halo level.
A map featuring an airlock would be dope. Cairo Station level in Halo 2 is one of my favorite parts in the Halo series.
I didn’t get excited when they first announced it in Reach and I don’t see a reason for its return.

They just need to not be lazy about space combat like they were in reach. Like come on bungie did you really think people wanted to fly sabers just in campaign. Not in matchmaking or even customs. Same could be said about the pelican.
Yes. This would be awesome, to switch up gameplay every now and then.
Having grown up a Star Fox fan, I’m a huge fan of space combat, and REALLY hope they add more of it in Halo 4! The beginning of Long Night of Solace just wasn’t enough for me!
Perhaps adding it toward the beginning of the game as Master Chief departs the destroyed ship?
Imagine a new gametype similar to Star Wars battlefront. CTF, flying Sabres/Serephs in between two large ships, getting out, grabbing the flag, and flying back to your base. Sounds pretty epic.
Space battles could use some of these:
-completely different controls from GSA vehicles
-ability to completely stop the vehicle (but starting up thrusters again would take a several seconds) and land the vehicle
-EMP options
-shield control (i.e. like Locusts), manipulation (i.e. Phantom gunboats, Enforcers)
-AI controlled mini-ships that the player can deploy for reconnaissance. Player would get to see what the AI sees in a small screen on his hud
-imagine multiple Covie ships being objectives and your goal is to pilot the Seraph (or whatever vehicle we get to use) through obstacles to land in their hangar, drop off a bomb, fight the Covies under a time limit and then go back outside for more space combat. An interesting mix of space and standard battle would be nice
-co-pilot

I remember those!
why would they make something like that to only use it once?
I personally thought that the space combat in Halo Reach was over rated. I thought it was going to be alot bettter then what we recieved. Personally i see no place for it in Halo 4 but my opinions may change in Halo 5 and 6
something where you can do more than just fly a few space ships
i’m talking about a strategic capture/defense game,
where, if you wanted to help defend you can staff guns to defend your capital ship or guard the inside of your flagship, or you could get in a ship to fly around the side of your flagship to help pick off any people trying to hurt it
on offence, you could get in a fighter and try to take out enemy fighters, or to destroy the outer systems, or outer guns,
or you could take a troop transport to take a small army over to the enemy ship
now the question comes to a another few things
the insides of the ship? make it complex enough to be fun to fight on, not a couple of rooms with little to no action
ship pilots to control the flag ship? sure, but make sure that there isn’t a way to crash and destroy the ship because of all the troll and nubs out there
give the pilot some heavy weapons,
for the UNSC the MAC cannon is obvious, make it do a ton of damage, it can help take down the enemy flagship’s shields, or do damage on their systems, or if the pilot is a 1337 boss, snipe fighters, give it a 5-7 minute cool-down because of its power,
but what about for covie ships?
glassing beams?
