Space combat/Booster Frame in the art of Infinite

Did y’all catch the inclusion of the Open Frame 92/EVA Booster Frame in the Art of Infinite post? It’s the first photo included. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/the-art-of-halo-infinite

I’m curious if this means we should expect to use one in the campaign? Personally I would rather fly a longsword, pelican, sabre, or even a broadsword in space again but I suppose the booster frame could be cool?

It’s making me wonder how the surface of Zeta Halo in the campaign map will interact with the presence of space in the game, considering that we know we’re starting in space and hopping between “islands”/ broken up parts of the ring. I know they’ve said we’ll be able to hop in a banshee and jump between islands… what if we can also hop into a booster frame and return to the space debris shown in the trailers/opening mission? What if at some point we get the option to take out a covenant carrier or something and you start the mission just by hoping into a pelican and flying up there? Or, sure, even a booster frame (I always disliked that design a little bit.)

It’s also entirely possible that I’m reading too much into this concept art.

The artist who did this said that this was just their idea, they don’t know if 343i did anything with it.
concept art like this does not mean anything most of the time, because as the name implies- it’s just conceptual.

That would be cool!

It’s funny, there are so few images from the campaign, and they all show the exact same biome, but now we’re getting a lot of concept art with some pretty cool other locations and ideas… will be a shame if they tease us with that stuff and then don’t deliver.

Still hopeful that we’ll be visiting locations other than the PNW inspired biome on zeta halo, and hopeful that we can explore some space around it as well. Would be a great way to improve on the space combat bits in Halo Reach and Halo 4. The world would feel so immersive and cool if we were to be able to explore space, and the situation up there developed with the plot, i.e. early on you have to sneak around and hide from big ships and you can find small pockets of UNSC resistance like longswords or pelicans hiding (a la Halo: First Strike,) then later on in the game as the UNSC forces get back together and build strength maybe there is a frigate or something in orbit you can roll out to.

Considering the state of the campaign this kind of thing surely isn’t included… but someday!

Thanks for the information!

Something that would actually innovate and revolutionize the franchise giving it much needed life? Don’t be ridiculous. We all know we’re going to get the same tiny encounters with 2 or three vehicles maximum and 0 allies as the series is notorious for, despite Halo being the perfect setting for large scale Sci-Fi warfare.
