Space battles

Halo has such and expansive and amazing universe that takes place IN SPACE. We are fighting prometheans and covenant IN SPACE. In halo 6 or maybe as a free update to halo 5 we can get a new mode called space battles. There are several ways to incorporate this.

  1. Low gravity maps: these maps would have a greater jump height and would take place in space, for example the moon.
  2. Vehicular space combat: we have expansive vehicular warfare in space with banshees, phantoms, Falcons, and other flying vehicles.
  3. Firefight in space: this would be amazing, and with the new objectives 343 has done in warzone firefight, we could do this in space. For example, destroy the phantoms turrets. Or hijack the phaeton.

This would be very fun, and it would make halo fresh and amazing again. Halo could again become a trendsetter because there aren’t really any modern fps with space battles, other than battlefront, but EA removed it from the reboot. This would be an amazing addition to Halo, and would add another layer of fun to halo’s multiplayer and campaign.

We really need something like the space battles from SWB2. Those were the best.

That would be dope

sorry, but flying a falcon in space?

Yes. Like that mission from Reach where you defend Anchor 9 using Sabres. That was awesome.

EVA BOOSTER FRAMES

I’m surprised they didn’t do space battles to be honest. Between Reach and Halo 4 they already demonstrated the scale and sandbox to do it.

But its a concept that will probably go unheard sadly.

I’d really like maps like Anchor 9 or Condemned to return, because they had low gravity elements in the map. What I’d also like to see is space battles inspired from Star Wars Battlefront 2’s space battles. If a 2005 game can do it, I’m sure a new Halo can. I’d love to fly a Pelican out of a UNSC cruiser and board a Covenant ship, and set up a mobile command post were teammates could spawn in the enemy ship and disable vital systems from the inside. Halo Reach’s Long Night of Solace is the closest we’ve ever gotten to something of this scale.

Scorpions with wings?
Warthogs with slipspace drives?

The possibilities are endless.
