At the start of Ch5 you hear the infinity system voice saying: Lancer fireateam please come to translight to help crimsom fireteam(Not exatcly that something similar)

Really I believe due to the massive size of infinity it just took lancer to long to get to Crimson. Crimson finished off everyone before Lancer could get to then.
