Soundtrack...thoughts?

At first when I heard that 343 was not going to have Martin O’Donnell compose the soundtrack for Halo 4 I was very disappointed. The old Halo soundtrack is something that so many Halo fan, including myself, have come to love. The more I listened to some of the sample soundtracks the more I started to like the new Halo sound. I think that with a new saga and a new creator of the Halo universe (i.e.343) I think that there needs to be a new sound to the game. I think that it would be weird if I was fighting the new enemies while listening to the old soundtrack.

What are you thoughts?

Do you like the new sound of the game?

Did you think they needed a new sound but didn’t find it?

Do you wish they had brought back Marty?

I like the new soundtrack. Davidge has found a good mix between some Halo-ish music with a good amount of new feeling and direction.

I am eagerly awaiting to hear it in action, in the game.

Marty is a legend but Neil’s work is very well done.
I approve.

I prefer the older scores from CE and 3 :frowning: just not the same. I do really like 2 or 3 tracks from 4, I don’t know their names though. Overall it seems a lot more digital than Orchestral.
