Sound out of sync in cutscenes

I noticed this on the very first level.
Master Chief jumps down from the cryo-tube, as his feet touch the ground there’s supposed to be a metallic “thud”.
In “classic” mode, this sound is fine, and in time with the actions. But, when the new graphics are in place the sound is delayed, quite considerably. It doesn’t play until the screen fades. I’d say almost a second or more after.

I just chalked this up to the game settling in.
But, I’m now on a much later level and I’ve noticed it again.
In the post-level cutscene of “Assault on the Control Room”, Cortana is talking, and her voice isn’t in sync with her mouth.
I didn’t expect it to be perfect, but her talking seems a little delayed.
And thinking back, I have noticed it throughout the game: All of the talking from onscreen characters is a little out of sync.
At first I thought it was just bad lip-syncing from a decade old game. But combined with the lag on the first sound I mentioned, and what I’ve noticed in the latest instance, I must conclude that it’s a problem with the new engine.

So far, I’ve been enjoying this game.
Memories of the first XBox game I ever played and owned combined with an updated graphical overhaul have created a new and rather enjoyable form of nostalgia.
And this sound thing isn’t a major issue. But I do feel it’s a flaw in this otherwise wonderful gem.

I’m positive it could be resolved by a simple patch.
It has occurred, and been remedied in the past with other games.
So, I hope they do so in this instance.

Sisee.

Cyro-clunk noise happened in the original… At least on the 360 anyway. Switching the visuals doesn’t affect the sounds.

Not sure about the Cortana one. Haven’t had that problem.

I noticed that all the voices seem to be a bit ahead of the mouth movements.

I’ve noticed this in about every remastered cutscene as well. And to one like me who loves animations and animating, it is really annoying to watch. To some degree I kind of prefer the old cutscenes. Sure, it’s just simple jaw movements, and the body movements are a lot stiffer, but it’s at least in sync, and looks more convincing.
Just hope it gets fixed in some kinda update.

Yeah I noticed this on the first level when going through the cut scene with Captain Keyes on the Bridge. The original game the mouths were out of place I remember when they talked but I fugured they would have corrected it with the graphics. It’s really quite annoying and frustrating to watch it to me. Oh well I guess.

That happened sometimes in the original, and a little more often when played on the 360. it does it at the same spots as well, so dont worry. its a carry over.

and with the metalic thud, i believe that happened ALL the time in the original. lolz
