Sound issues with newest update

MCC Halo CE. Xbox 1s. Multiplayer.

This confirmed by several players:

The game as of today or yesterday sounds different: Reloading, grenades, mele, Rocket reloading, and more. The game play sounds have degraded severely. I’m a sound engineer and I can’t even tell you how it sounds different, I just know something is way off. It almost sounds like a failed attempt to make everything more surround compatible. Suspecting a bad recent update?

Those are the sounds the game had originally. You got used to the anniversary effects and you can switch it in the settings.

Those are the original sound but there is an issue with this latest update in that you cannot hear grenades in halo 1 all the time.

If you’re talking about the pitch of the classic weapon sounds, I can confirm the melee & zoom audio sound too deep compare to Gearbox & OG Xbox port tested on both PC & console.

Well the update was supposed to bring back the OG sounds(among other things) to Halo CE… I did ask in another thread on how we were supposed to toggle the OG sounds to the new sounds and no one answered… So I kinda wonder is there a way to toggle it or is the OG sounds live and that is it? No telling it seems. This hasn’t been a well communicated update.

What I can confirm, is that original sounds are weaker. Also, the sound when you loose your shields is glitched.

As a feature, it would be great 343 could add 3D sound (The same feature that Custom Edition have).

I just started replaying Halo CE on my Xbox One. As soon as I entered a terminal, there was not only no audio for the terminal, but no audio for the rest of the game either! If anyone knows how to fix this, please tell me!
