Sound Design is Fantastic

I love that you can hear the Spartans stomping around clearly. In Breakout when it got down to 1v1, I could pinpoint where my enemy was coming from much easier than I ever could in previous games.

Jeff’s announcing is mixed in nicely. It was WAYYYY too loud in Halo 4 & Halo 2 Anniversary.

Some of the weapon sounds I prefer from older games (the AR from Halo 4 sounded incredible) but for the Battle Rifle, this may be my favorite iteration. Same with the Light Rifle; this one sounds like it packs a serious punch unlike the Halo 4 “pew pew” version.

The look, feel, rate of fire, and sound of the new SMG is just too far removed from the older versions. Not saying that’s a bad thing, but it just feels like a completely different weapon altogether.

Everything just sounds so clean and punchy and present. I’d love to know what kind of compressors they use.

That said, the kill cam music is either a bit redundant or I’m dying way too much …
