Sound Design in General Major Issues.

Lets face it, the sound design is severely lacking or bad in many cases and 343i needs to know about them.

  1. The shield recharge sound is awful. Sounds way too wimpy and there was nothing wrong with the boop boop boop bopp…vruuuuuuooom of Halo’s past.

  2. Hitsounds mask the sound of actual bullets and serve no purpose.

  3. The headshot “pop” noise is silly and does not fit in at all.

  4. I do not think the announcer needs to callout power weapons at 30 and then 10 seconds. 10 seconds should be enough, it just means one jerk will set up for 30 seconds and camp.

  5. The death music every time you die is driving me insane.

  6. Callouts can be heard from too far away. I don’t need to know a teamate got shot at from all the way across the map when I’m getting triple teamed.

  7. Prophet’s Bane should be louder when activated to give a better warning. That -Yoink- is so OP at close range we need more warning to attempt to stop it.

Im not going to lie, everything sounds like farts. Gun sounds, thruster packs, everything.

I will agree with all of this and then some, the call out for power weapon spawn only makes it a total chance fight between 2 teammates standing on the spot at once, it slows the game down and ruins team structure when playing with randoms. The call out should only be given for those nearby and like you said a 10 second warning would be more than plenty.
