> They were as bad as Reach’s Living Dead is now, actually. But since they were “novelty” gametypes, they were held to a different standard and nobody complained. (Much like how you wouldn’t compare a fingerpainting by a five-year-old to, say, the Mona Lisa.)
Why? Cause it has the most population in Reach, for the dumbest reason EVER. It’s so CASUAL… and don’t even get me started on the Betraying! O-M-F-G!
They better fix it… I want a true Infection experience, hell with the TU we could have “Zombie Anniversary” gametypes (10-15% Bloom, 3SK Magnum, etc.). Would be pretty sick, no?
I did enjoy H3’s Zombies… but Halo 2 is where it all began for me. I loved playing on Foundation melee-ing objects to create barricade on one of the Room’s doors. Good times!

It’s strange how the most “casual” playlist has the highest population, isn’t it? It just doesn’t make sense.
I think that zombies should be immune to headshots in Reach, solely because the Magnum allows for kills at a distance, where a Zombie can’t do a damn thing. Obviously this, in my experience, wasn’t a problem because the Halo 3 Magnum had a low rate of fire, no zoom, and wasn’t accurate over range.

It’s Reach.

Would it not be wiser to try and cap the Magnum’s efficacy by limiting lines of sight in the maps, first? It’s a Zombie game, people expect to be able to get one-shot kills.
sword base is a horrible map to play on in infection… seriously, there are HUNDREDS of specially made maps out there for infection that play so much better than defaults, halo 3 infection maps were edited(they had at least two ways in and two ways out )and people in halo 3 infection seem to try to survive by running round, halo reach just has everyone camp in one spot with one way in and one way out. halo 3 had loads of custom infection maps so it cant be hard to do it in reach. if i picked one it would be barts manor(type on youtube and look for halo reach forges one)its great because no where is safe, everywhere has at least two entrances/exits and its a nice looking map.

Halo 3 Living Dead’s maps were actually terrible compared to most of the ones circulating around in Customs, but they were better than Reach Living Dead’s maps.
I liked Halo 3’s Zombie Maps. They were actually modified with Forge to create a unique “Zombie” environment. Halo Reach should get the same treatment.

Considering that H3’s Forge was a pain to use compared to Reach’s, it really suprises me that there aren’t any community maps specifically designed for Living Dead in that playlist. There are lots of great Zombie maps, and it’s not like Bungie/343i don’t want to put community maps into matchmaking. I mean, half the maps in Team Slayer are community maps.
Ah man, I would love nothing more than to see community maps in the zombie playlist.
edit: Oh, obviously you guys can only see those -Yoinks!- hiding behind the glass but that isn’t the worst part. The worst part is that they are able to shoot and melee through it…
Living dead, though it may be extremely broken, gives you more chances to play with new people.
You get a chance to meet (or meat in this case ;D ) people who are fun to run around with. but i agree with you, the custom maps people make are definately more fun to play, speed halo in living dead anyone???
In matchmaking I enjoy infection fairly rarely…the camping and the ridiculous spots people get to for said camping makes it not very interesting/fun for me. But infection in custom games is often great…there are some very interesting setups, and some maps do crazy things with lighting to make the atmosphere like what one should have when being swarmed by undead hordes of zombies.
Is there a living dead/zombie fan community that 343 might be able to look to for infection-specific map development?
> yeah condemed and anchor 9 would be great zombie maps, except the DLC never comes up in any playlist ever
Its a year after release, the maps should be required for all playlists, I hardly think that is asking much of the community. If you are over 18, save a bit of money, get points, bam, maps, under 18, ask your -Yoink!- parents for some money, or save your lunch money, how hard is that?
