Sorry, this doesnt look like halo

After watching the “First Look” trailer I could only sit in disgust to see what 343 is doing to the franchise. While the game certainly looks very visually appealing, it doesn’t seem to have much to offer after that. First off the Master Chief doesn’t look anything like he should. Sure they are trying to make him seem like some bad–Yoink- super hero with a “new” and functional look, but he isn’t functional or a super hero, he’s just lucky. I don’t play Halo because I want to play a game that looks functional. In addition with this they want to explore his character and his humanity in the game. I personally preferred the Master Chief being that robot we all have come to know over the past 10 years, doing this will kill his atmosphere that Bungie developed. Not only are they completely changing the Chief but are adding a reason why “Spartan IV’s” are fighting one another. I honestly would rather just not have reason than a bad one. While it’s not appropriate at the moment to speculate the writing of the game I will say that the game already seems to have bad writing. ’ The Chief is fighting an enemy by the likes that he’s never faced before, like i’ve never heard that one before '. Jumping back to changing the look of the Chief, I wouldn’t have an issue with it if they simply just did what Bungie did from Halo CE to Halo 2, work it into the story. If they can work a reason for multiplayer to even exist, they could have figured out a way that he magically got new amour. At the moment I will not let this “First Look” make me not want to buy the game, however it certainly did not convince me the game is worth buying. 343 still has some time to show that they are going to make a half descent game through applications like a better forge ,theater, firefight, and additional features that would make the game worth buying; a complete map editor of firefight and multiplayer would personally be my selling point. As of right now, to respond to Frank O’Conner’s comment regarding what to keep and what to through out, you just threw out Halo in the eyes of this fan.

You should have kept your opinion for yourself then.
Now let me get started.

You are saying that the onlything MC has is luck?
Then why the hell did they train him from the age of six and made him go through augmentation, they could have just gave him a clover and the Covenant would have been on their knees, right?

You don’t even know the reason Spartan IVs are fighting and you already complain it can only be a bad one or that it shouldn’t exists. On top of it you say yourself that there is nothing on the writing of the game yet it is going to suck according to you.
PARADOX MUCH?

You do know the armor chance is going to have a canon related reason, right?
Really terrible research you have done thusfar.

Forage…

You have a lot of guts to say Frank threw Halo away as you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Bungie threw Halo away with Reach. Also the selling points is supposed to be features? Games need Campaign and gameplay to play fun not useless gimmicks.

Really your opinion isn’t only based on stupid assumptions but it also greatly reflects how you must be mentally limited. Please leave this forum and never come back.

you’re basing this off information you don’t have

Let me get started. I recommend you grab a chair.

Master Chief has that training, but they whole reason Cortana picked the Chief was because of his Luck. Without that element his just another Spartan and another bland character.

You took what i said about the spartan iV’s completely out of context. I would rather them have no reason than a bad one to justify it. AN OPEN ENDED POSSIBILITY THAT IT COULD BE BE BAD, NOT THAT IT WILL.

You can’t lie, yes you, that their idea is not original. Call of Duty is fine example. You do the same thing in each game, fight an enemy that you cant possible beat, and it’s boring and is bad writing because of its lack of originality.

Sauce on the armor change being cannon?

Also, nice Ad Hominem fallacy

How does it not look like Halo? It looks exactly like Halo. It reminds me so much of Halo 3 it’s disturbing.

And you can’t tell me this doesn’t look like the Chief.

I’m basing this off of what i’ve seen from the vidoc and interview. They are killing this game.

I read the first sentence and lost interest so I skipped to the capitalized, highlighted words and realized that you could use some basic grammar skills.

You spelled “zealous” and “opinion” wrong.

Because Chief looks awesome and they wanted to add some “wrapper fiction” to the multiplayer?

It’s not like multiplayer is going to become canon. They are just trying to immerse you in the experience.

You can’t really think that looks like MC. You must have not seen then comparison between Halo3 and Halo 4.

I’m pretty sure a game called BioShock 2 tried that, and i’m also sure people didn’t like it.

Some folks are forgetting that Frank IS halo. He is so stoked to be working on it again. He is not letting it go down the toliet.

AD HOMINEM FALLACY: you people have a hard on for this stuff, sorry for being human.

You’re telling me that the incorporation of a multiplayer that is going to have unlock abilities and custom load outs isn’t sending this game down the toilet? This is call of duty 7 with halo on the front of the box.

I’m not arguing nor debating anything with you so how is this a fallacy? I’m simply pointing out your elementary mistakes (because I don’t feel like reading through all that mindless, angry babble).

Dont like it,dont buy it. Seems simple enough to me.

They even have some of the same lines and details in the suit. -_-

And I’m pretty sure a far more successful game called Assassin’s Creed tried that and it worked to huge success.

No, I felt the urge to post, ergo I posted. Simple as that.

Again, it’s “you’re” not “your”.
