Hey Friend,
Can you do me a favor? Can you attempt to adjust your settings on your controller to the following thresholds and deadzones? I spent a decent amount of time tweaking and tuning these on my end to make it feel very comfortable.
I’ve played Halo since CE and Halo Infinite was the first game I’ve really ever dug deep down into for tuning. This helped me out a ton and hopefully it can help you too!
Not sure if it will change your opinion, but may help improve with the feel of aiming. I went from being frustrated to feeling like I just stepped into an updated Halo 3.

You’re just blaming our new friends on PC for being bad, i am an Xbox Player (Series X) and frequently top the leaderboard with little issue. I do agree we should have the option to choose crossplay but the bigger issue might actually be with your game skill.

Does it not use the same method that other games do, wherein you’re matchmade with people using the same input method?

You do realise that ranked has the option to choose if you want controller only, kbm only or any input.

I don’t know what disadvantage you think you’re having. I play with an Xbox controller, but I use my PC because my Xbox would burn to death trying to run the game. (It needs to be cleaned)
If you’re upset because the game is too fast pace, just play a game that works for you. You’re actually upset about the things that don’t matter, what you should be upset about is the fact your teammates are ghosts, and the colored outlines are kind of distracting.

If you play ranked there’s a cross play “option” but no way to turn it off. Hopefully they will fix this with the final release.

The only problems i have is my controller trigger going sticky
The only real trouble I have playing against PC players and Elite controller users is there rate of fire they have on the pistol. I JUST CAN’T F’N COMPETE! XD 
I play on console and if I die then I guess I suck, we do not NEEEED aim assist and pc players literally played on console and said aim assist is crazy so idk which one it is

agreed. Apparently one of the challenges I’m doing is very unfun. Don’t know its worth it to get the last achievement for multiplayer. I’m just disappointed and tired that the game is consuming too much time
100% agree with you. I was thinking the same thing ever since I played on Nov. 15th. Halo always had proper controller aim assist and now it’s all but gone. Infinite doesn’t even play like Halo anymore when playing on controller.
Don’t they make it so you can select which input method you want ? At least in ranked matches. When beta is lifted I am sure they will make open parties to more than Crossplay.
Anyone else who feels this sentiment might need to check their controller settings. The default settings really don’t bring out the best the controller has to offer. I started a thread to help with this. Search for “Need help aiming in Infinite?” And it should come up. I go over lots of settings to make the controller feel better.

Really?! Because I can find the option but it won’t turn off. It just says crossplay and then opens up a sub menu that has one “option” of crossplay on

It’s not that aim assist is non-existent, it’s that the aim assist system just doesn’t work very well, making aiming comfortably on controller basically impossible.

The same here, have been playing in my freetime and never had any problem because played with a controller.
