If I have to fiddle with it to become usable, then I suppose it proves my point. Nobody among casuals gives a … about pro scene. Thise guys dont even need aim assist to begin with.
I’m of the mindset that 343 was concerned with the advantage aim assist would give the console player over the PC player. To level out the playing field they removed (or dailed down the AA [not sure, im M&K])
I’ve been a Halo fan since The Duke, and can say confidently that Halo Infinite is the best Halo game 343 has made, campaign pending. I believe it comes down to this, with all due respect

You thinking a Controller is just plug and play these days proves your ignorance there is a plethora of settings and tweaking you can do within games to get your specific controller working how it should.
And your comment about the pro scene proves the same… If people are amazing and crazy good at the game why would they all move to the controller from M&K when you claim M&K is better? literally everyone that knows FPS knows Controller is far superior than M&K in this game.
Do some research on how to configure your controller in game and get good.
“It is well known that mouse and keyboard have a major advantage over console” I do not agree with this, but I think you should have the option to play with them or not. I think this is a major misconception. Movement is key in shooters, and I think console players have an objective advantage over keyboard with movement
Do you really not adjust your sensitivity or dead zone settings? Cause that might be your problem right there.
I run controller and just got ranked diamond. Can’t say the controller is holding me back.
go into a custom game with a friend, have them stand in front of you and you strafe side to side looking straight ahead. watch your reticle hold them as you go by, its not like halo 3 aim assist where it does all the work for you, its a slight aim assist. its great
Halo 3s aim didn’t do it all for you. Far from it. You have that confused with Halo 4. That or mccs Halo 3 and not original 360. Great to YOU. But not to alot of people. Only passable guns are the BR And Ar
Hmm I play with my friend with controller and he is playing with mnk usually I do little better, the aim assist is quite strong but you need to learn to adjust aim/strafe with left stick and not to much with right. I have not yet tested how good I would be with pc as I am quite good player with that as well but is my friend and he feels like control players can shoot him on head more easily when strafe. I have to note that my k/d is lower than usually but I’m currently playing ranked open plat 3 and rising

I asked if you played it on both M / KB and controller. Clearly you played it on M / KB. You would think with how old you are your reading comprehension would be pretty good. Or is it just your boomer eyes that can’t see the screen properly.

I checked some profiles and they had a PC icon on them, so I’m assuming they’re were playing from there.
Could be bugged though…
A ton of people use controller on PC.

But can’t 180 like a madman even with maxed sens on controller. You can sometimes observe that in spectate mode.
Don’t get me wrong, I love that it has crossplay but I would like to decide for myself if I wanna activate it or not.

Plugging in a m/kb isn’t really a good solution. I’m an Xbox gamer because I prefer controller. Being forced to switch input methods because the designers didn’t accommodate controller players goes against the very system that the series was made for

Aim assistant is practically non existent. I’ve played enough games where I have a hard time aiming. Playing any other Halo game and I’m above average. Now it’s the opposite.
