SORRY, Halo Infinite is not for Xbox players

Aim assist does exist, but its strange. It doesn’t feel right. It only activates with joystick movement. And its entirely non-existent outside of red reticle range.
My group of four console players noticed we can’t participate in longer-range fights because its too hard to aim using a joystick at long-range without aim assist. My MnK friend however has no troubles at long range, even being able to use the sidekick effectively.
When you go from aim-assist being enabled at one range to it being disabled at another, you have trouble adjusting your aim on the fly. MnK doesn’t face that problem…

This feels like your crying bro, just work on your aim and you’ll be fine.

I actually agree, Im not having fun so far in this game… had to put my sens in 1 and still cant get clean shots… and I feel frustrated to play against PC players that can kill you far away with the pistol without missing a shot…

PC version feels unoptimized, looks kinda meh even on maximum settings, has basic features removed due to bots (red crosshair), and has a UI definitely built more for a controller than M&K.

I don’t think PC really got any love at all.

When I’m not solo I play cross play with my friends on PC. There does not seem to be a huge advantage.

Personally I like the toned down aim assist on console because my cursor no longer hops form player to player which makes it easier for me to get head shots in.

I agree that they should have a toggle if people do not want to cross play.

Remember. This is a beta not a full launch.

I guess I’ll spend the night crying then. “Boo-hoo, woe is me!” I’ll sigh. “I can’t play Halo anymore because a forum dweller said that it’s not made for Xbox anymore!” I’ll wail.

Get over it. If you’re that fed up with controller gameplay OP, go plug a keyboard and mouse into your Xbox. Halo Infinite has native support.

You can turn off cross play in the xbox settings. Why you can’t do it in game like on PC I’m not sure but you can turn it off.

The game definitely has aim assist and imo its actually too strong. I use a controller on PC because of how broken it is compared to mouse.

Key board and mouse doesn’t have aim assist in the first place. Which is the point of mouse and key. But controller there is none. And the only gun that can get you by with how it is now reliably, is the BR and the AR.

What part of console.player do you not understand? No one on Xbox wants to play HALO WITH MOUSE AND KEY. Did you see anyone from MLG days play on mouse and key? Or controller?

I’m on series X using a controller and I have zero issues.

It is an advantage, because you can be more precise and the freedom of movement with a mouse allows better precision than a small little thumb stick. And the fact if the matter is they stripped something from Halo that Halo players…on console were used to. All of that experience? For most part down the drain and can only do so much.

I understand the part where “console player” refers to a player who uses a console as their medium for playing games. What I don’t understand is how “console” and “controller” are intricately linked as a sword-and-shield bond in Halo Infinite.

You aren’t restricted to a controller. You can play with the same peripherals that are supposedly curb stomping you.

Now, if you’re on an older machine, that’s where not wanting to crossplay with PC starts to make sense. But if you’re on a next-gen unit, the differences are limited purely by input type.

Why would you want to convert to something you’re not comfortable with? Most people playing Halo, are comfortable with controller with the acquired experienced they have gotten over the years with controller. Which is how Halo started. But now you make it nearly unfavorable and unintentionally force people…to try a different form of input ??? That’s not a good route to take.

For me, thankfully the Br is a joy to use in Infinite. And I’m guess the AR. But every other gun? Especially the sniper? Lol hell no. It feels stiff and loose at the same time, but when I go back to 3 or Reach it feels right. I don’t feel I have to fight to the gun. The commando can kick rocks and burn. Don’t know why we lost the DMR for that nonsense.

I’m afraid. I’m afraid. I’m afraid that this free to play system could lead to the extinction of console gamers as we know them. Make sure you take a picture of your fellow Xbox friends’ logos and gamertags so one day you can look back and say - those were the days!! with a nostalgic smile on your face.

Hahaha you think you get better shots with a mouse and keyboard!!! You obviously haven’t compared the two. Mouse and keyboard is much more difficult to use than controller. Controller players in most cases are better than mouse and keyboard. So to say there is a disadvantage then that’s saying alot about you lol
Controllers have the advantage period.
So if anyone else thinks that mouse and keyboard has an advantage then your seriously stupid. This is a myth that’s been going around for years. Until you actually play on pc and see how much more difficult it is to play then youll understand.

Your assertion that the current control tuning is an inadvertent attempt to force people to switch inputs is completely baseless. The peripheral tuning isn’t fantastic on either side of the field, and I had to mess with my own settings a bit to get it where I like.

And as for your first question, the ethics behind “why” are not what’s being discussed. You made it clear that you think that KNM setups have a dynamic advantage over controllers, and so I reminded you that your options on console are not limited to just controllers. Plain and simple.

Now, if you’re actually trying to advocate for controller players to be separated from mouse and keyboard players for their own sake? Just say something like “I think a crossplay toggle is a good idea.” It gets the point across a lot faster.

Separating them won’t fix the issue of the aim assist. It will still be a problem. The issue now is, we are stuck with cross play and the way aim assist can’t compensate controller users.

How is it baseless when I said it’s unintentional . But maybe I shouldn’t say that because since the first flight, many people have shed light on their grievances on the aim assist. The same story is, commando and pistol are hard to use, but BR is fine, etc etc.

my aim is fine either way. But clearly u dnt watch streamers with m&k laugh when they fight xbox players (in any game). They actually say “omg this must be an xbox player, they are turning so slow.” Seriously watch any stream with any game. To say m&k doesnt offer a quicker pinpoint response, must mean you really should reevaluate how well you perform as an individual. Waiting for you to come back with “adjust your sensitivity bro.”
A mouse is like a laser. A controller is like a nerf gun(speed and precision are not = to or greater than a laser/mouse).
Left clicking a mouse button is AT LEAST 2x faster than a trigger pull.

Cant believe i had to point those things out. Like i said, you should just reevaluate how you perform as an individual if you use m&k and controller players are besting you more often than not.

Agree the commando is crap. I’ll take the DMR any day

And then add to that the FPS that the streamers get with their badass computers 240 FPS and consoles capped at 120.
