SORRY, Halo Infinite is not for Xbox players

Let’s not forget that putting console players with PC players subjects PC players to the console cheaters as well.

It amazes me that even in 2021 some players still think console hacks don’t exist.

Lol hackers were an issue on Xbox back in CoD4. There are definitely hacks on console games, but everyone will just automatically assume it’s PC cause it’s easier than jailbreaking your console.

Hooo buddy, it’s far more common than you make it sound. I have a few friends who worked at an aftermarket electronics repair shop and they were shocked at how many modded consoles came through. It was far harder and less common to do in 2007 than it is in 2021.

I have not seen a single console hacker in years probably since Xbox 360, but that may just be me.

It amazes me that you think the amount of hackers on console is anywhere even comparable to that on PC. I’m guessing by your lack of awareness that you don’t play on console at all. It’s a completely different ball game. I can’t remember the last time I ran into a hacker on console. However, just about anytime I play on PC, I run into someone who is obviously hacking.

The fundamental design of console makes it extremely hard to get away with hacking. Yes, people can mod their hardware, but it’s incredibly easy to detect when you’re playing online. The whole OS is so locked down that it’s incredibly difficult to pull off any kind of cheat.

Once again I’m confused by how so many PC players seem to know everything about consoles which they don’t even have.

Out of my 35 hours on Infinite, I haven’t ran into a single hacker, at least not one that was blatantly obvious. Some people who I thought were hacking I ended up beating out, or would go even in fights against them.

I’ve played a ton of ranked with a controller and haven’t ever felt like I couldn’t compete…

I get an average of 2.3-2.8 k/d is fps games. It is literally fact that controller players average accuracy is 10-15% higher.

Where are you getting this data from?

Lol Halo Tracker says you have a 1.01 k/d… don’t hype yourself up too much bro.

It’s not making the skills gap between people that can play well and those that are new a balanced set.

It’s just allowing people to stomp and pull off ridiculous shots. I play gears of war on PC with no aim assist as it can be turned off with controller and I land far more shots as I dont have the ridiculously over powered aim assist almost taking control of my reticule.

Halo infinites aim assist is WAY to noticable and jarring

Buddy I didn’t say that there were more hackers on consoles than on PC. You’re coming at me with counter arguments that I never argued about. You think I’m coming after you and you went on defense. The argument you made is my concern, because it’s a loose argument based on misinformation.

You can make better arguments against Crossplay than making an argument that can be flipped around to be used against you. IE you’re going to get hackers whether you play with PC or Console.

Except it’s not, it’s based on a modified version of Windows, it always has been across all generations of Xbox. It makes them some of the easiest consoles on the market to unlock. But in this day and age and amount of accessibility across any digital outlet, that’s really not saying much

What kind of a childish remark is this? You’re so scared of having your stance challenged that you clap back with such a “true Scotsman” “Dunning-Kruger” response. It doesn’t take more than a few hours of videos, forum and Reddit posts to understand the vulnerabilities of consoles.

On that note kinda hard to have 35000+ gamer score if I didn’t own an Xbox. So if all I need to do challenge your points is own and play an Xbox, then check mate I guess.

That’s fine, in 14 years of playing PC and Console I’ve come across 28 veritable hackers in games. I’d say of those 28, 8 of them were obvious, with 4 being on Console.

Most people think hackers are going to be obvious, and some are, but most blend in and use them sparingly or in a discreet manner. It’s to the point where there are documented cases of pros who use them in high profile tournaments across both PC and Consoles.

They exist but it’s most likely you just don’t notice them.

Of the 58 hours on Halo Infinite I haven’t suspected anyone of hacking, nothing’s stood out except for some tells that players are playing with Controller. But that’s not hacking obvi.

Hackers exist, there’s documented proof of this, but they’re not abundant or even common.

Stop complaining about cross platform. I am super happy to be able to play with my console friends with my PC.

Man. I am a PC gamer. I was a MKB for every single FPS game out there EXCEPT Halo. I use a controller. The advantage of a controller for Halo is night and day. The fact that there are controller players out there crying about MKB players just goes to show how bad that player must actually be at the game. Just get better

Agen if you look at the top players in Halo MCC thay are pc players in both red and blue teams 85% of the time not Xbox players. And that game has more aim assist in it than Halo infinite.

I think you might have read my response wrong, judging by your response. I did not say I was having a hard time playing against PC folks; I was saying that I could and didn’t have a problem with it…

You said, “Let’s not forget that putting console players with PC players subjects PC players to the console cheaters as well.” As if the console cheaters that PC players will have to deal with is even close to the amount of PC cheaters that console players have to deal with. I’m sorry, I thought that was inherent in my argument but I guess I need to really spell things out.

Once again, talking about things you clearly don’t understand. Yes, it is a modified version of windows, but it’s a closed and very controlled system. It’s incredibly difficult to get any sort of cheat on an xbox. Literally just google search it and you’ll find dozens of articles (many from hacker websites) talking about how difficult it is to cheat on the xbox. Some are still even saying that it still hasn’t been done (though I wouldn’t put my money on that). I personally don’t think I’ve ever run into a cheater on xbox (aside from exploits built into the game itself). So, even if there are, compared to PC, it’s a totally different ballgame and not even close to comparable. So yes, forcing crossplay on console players is still subjecting them to far more cheaters than if they were only in their own platform.

There IS, however, a lot of fake news about xbox hacks, as well as some hacker groups claiming to have console hacks, but they end up being full of it, just trying to get attention or clout.

You can get gamerscore from PC… and yeah, just looked you up and all your games are played on PC… but alright bud. Whatever you say…
