I re-read Evolutions for the first time in ten years. Did we ever find out what happened to Soren? Or are we fairly certain he was vaporized when the Covenant came knocking on Reach’s door?

All speculation right now
Only know that he survived the crash.We were never told how long he survived in the woods, up to/after the Covenant invaded.
I think it’s safe to write him off as dead.
He fought Brutes at New Alexandria, drank their blood and became Atriox, explains why he is so good at fighting Spartans, he knows how they think, how they move…
In all likelihood he died, but Reach wasn’t totally glassed as far as I know, so there is a possibility that he survived and still lives in the forests of Reach. To be honest I’d rather his story be over and done though. I would hate for Soren to go the way of Noble Six and have people claiming he’s still alive in a cave or something lol

I would agree not all spartans are MIA some really do die.
Total speculation of course here. But I’d say he definitely survived the crash and hid away in the forest like he had before. I’d hope/like to see, that he came to Reach’s aid during the ground conflict and maybe if they did continue his story give him a respectful death on Reach in the forests. But who knows?
