soOooo jetpack........

I have been watching MLG dallas since friday. And the biggest thing I notice is that jetpack is being used 95% of the time. The announcer keeps saying things like “I feel the jetpack is the best AA for this map”. But he says that for every game, and on every map. Which to IMO translates to jetpack being the best AA hands down. -_-

The Majority of the community was deeply concerned about the Jetpack making a return. But everyone concerns were silenced when the new information was released about it being slow and Nerfed. But however slow and however nerfed it may be, it appears FLYING as suspected is still an overpowered ability no matter which way you cut it.

What is everyone opinions on this? O_o

The jet packs depends on the map. If there are maps without ceiling, the jet pack will be used, but if it’s in a closed space, the jet pack is pointless.

Meh, whatever. I’ve never been any good with the jetpack - it doesn’t suit my style of play at all. I’d take anything over it.

A nerfed jet pack hardly matters when you have sprint to go along with it. It will be the universally used AA in most instances, no doubt.

jetpack is used by these players 95% of the time on maps Solace, Haven, abandoned, adrift.
and a number of these maps still have ceilings. It is becoming apparent Jetpack will be most useful on most if not all maps.

And the DMR is way too OP.

It really was a bad idea to bring the jetpack back.

Oh well.

Halo 4’s jet pack isn’t as game breaking as Reach’s version, but it still gets you too high in the air. I think it should be nerfed.

lol jet packers. in reach jet packing was pretty much a Shoot me please invitation. I rarely used it but loved people using it. I hope more people use it so I can shoot them easier.

Jetpack is fine. That’s how I see it.

They shouldn’t have brought it back; even the nerf won’t fix its problems.

Instead they should have just found a way to make the thruster pack give you a vertical boost when used when jumping or something.

When used by good players/teams, it’s not a “shoot me please fest”, it’s quite game breaking on many maps, allowing people to get outside of maps, get to point A to B way too fast.

Yeah, I was really dissapointed to see the jetpack make a return, and you’re right; Everyone is using it at Dallas and it’s really, really powerful.

Well, Jetpack was never OP, so I doubt it will be OP in Halo 4, either.

jetpack is nothing more than a short cut there is nothing about it that is OP especially if you look at the other AA’s + mlg pros say stupid -Yoink- all the time remember when PV was the strongest thing ever? lol they just use what’s in style. Let say the winner had jetpack and the DMR, the rest will start using these.

What makes you say that?

The… fact that it’s not? I don’t understand the question.

We need this jetpack in Reach you can go over half of the Cage before running out of fuel.

Not even that. Just get rid of it and replace it with something else.

Jetpack should be removed from competitive halo. It broke map control in Reach and from the looks of it it’s going to do the same thing in Halo 4
