Since I can’t direct link yet (not a marine) here is the link for the Mark IV armor artwork. I personally think that though the render isn’t quite game quality, that the black undersuit just looks far better than the colored one.

And I was looking at palmer in the game the other day think about how she does have the black undersuit and a real white color armor so we know it at least possible for non-combat models

Yeah the Black undersuit tends to look better.

Master Chief also had a black undersuit in Halo 4, but they changed it to Sage for Halo 5.

I was talking about palmer in h5 so we know its possible
A colored under suit takes away from the details in armor.
Making them appear cheap.
Much like the new team blue color.
Sure would be nice.

I hope so. I was surprised it wasn’t considered with the other Halo 4 complaints while making Halo 5.

I think it was on their Twitter back when Halo 4 was the main priority (based on another thread a read a while back. I’ll take a look.) You’d think they’d take that criticism and allow solid black undersuit said in 5.

What they should do is make the under suit have its own color palette with black as a unique color to the selection, then people could do other interesting colors if they wished.
That would be pretty cool aesthetically. I hope they add more colors for your armor later on so they are closer to what we had in previous games. I miss seeing a bunch of Master Chief Spartan copies (Everyone dressing up like MC with Olive Drab) running around.
They do know about the black undersuit for sure, but that tweet was before Halo 5’s release, and no black undersuit.
And yeah, I hope they add in a military olive green column with the sage color (Sage in Reach was perfect, still good in 4.)

Dat cyan blue color runnin’ down your belly and shoulder though. Your undersuit is not 100% black.
