Working in a related field I understand how difficult producing something like this can be - especially something which is robust enough for public view. 343 is a massive team with multiple external companies also chipping in too. Coordinating all that is also really tricky.
Putting even broad delivery dates against things can create huge stress and pressure on a team and when that team’s work impacts multiple other teams the knock on effects are huge.
That said… it is not impossible to do, but it does need top level conversations with staff at all levels to understand the challenges and issues… with such a large team you often end up with overly stratified management structures

They aren’t massive, I don’t even think they have 500 workers.
They are pretty small for a AAA dev team.
Permanent staff… perhaps not, but many more on contracts
