I’ve seen a ton of threads going around about this in various capacities. Now I believe we saw blood in last year’s E3 trailer when Chief was shooting an Elite. Granted there was no pooling or splashing on the ground or was, but it was there, but only for non humans. And obviously this isn’t new to Halo as previous ones have had it as well.
But As I stated, I’ve seen a decent amount of “They need to add blood back to Halo Infinite” etc etc and “Infinite is rated T for Teen from all we know, so there won’t be any blood, or at least human blood.”
And I’m here to say that is false, at least in some capacity.
Now maybe I’m late to the party with this in regards to Infinite, or my memory is failing me, but I don’t recall a 343 Halo ever having Spartans bleed. I’m almost certain that in 5, they just died. However, I was watching the multiplayer overview and at 2:14, if you slow the playback down to 0.25, you can see that Spartan that is sprinting, clearly has blood clouds/spray once his shields are broke. Now this doesn’t mean much. I still doubt you’ll get it as a texture layer on walls and surfaces, but interesting to note.
Especially in regards to the comments about no Flood returning because they can’t do effects like this. Clearly they are. Now I’m not saying this is Flood confirmed or any correlation like that, just merely pointing out something I saw.
I’m happy that when you shoot enemies blood comes out. I hope it sticks to the walls and floord just like CE.

This happens in all Halo games. CE just allowed you to do it by shooting enemies that were already dead.

CE also let you cover the walls in blood. I’m aware there’s been blood in Halo before, I’m saying that I don’t recall human blood/Spartans bleeding before in a 343 game.
Not that it’s really that big of a deal to me, I just know there were a ton of people saying Halo needed to bring back blood and gore or whatever.

Yeah you’re right.

CE definitely did it more than the others, it was funny to mess around with but by no means something that needs to come back.

As someone who played a ton of Halo 5, I can confirm that it did have blood. Not much, but the most i’ve seen is with specific assassinations, it sprays out and you can hear it too.
I hope we get blood splatters, but I won’t complain if we don’t

I played a decent amount of Halo 5 too. Just like SR 130 or something. Couldn’t stomach the grind to 152. But it had been awhile since played it last so I couldn’t remember. I was almost certain though on a normal kill, there wasn’t blood but not 100%. So thanks for pointing that out.
Like I said with the OP, I was merely pointing it out due to the multiple threads and convos I had seen around it saying stuff like, “Infinite better have blood” or “Infinite is Teen so there’s no blood.” I honestly don’t care the level of it. I didn’t think the limited or lack of blood in 5 ruined it for me. But I also am all for them bringing it back too (which they clearly have to some extent).
