Sooo what of Destructible Environments?

Still no word on this. Not even the slightest mention.

Did 343 scrap it, or did they just mention it just to tell us we will have breaking glass. I don’t even see a single tree falling down. It was a deal a long time ago, so what now?

When did they say this?

Like over a ear ago or something.

When? Where? Can you find a link?

Halofield

This game is not like Call of duty or any other game that uses simple buildings that you can see at any part of a town. The construction of halo enviroments are so beautiful and awesome to look at why would we want to see them falling apart? I certainly don’t want a block of cement in the middle of the floor when im strafing.

Ok, seriously. Am I the only one who liked Ghost Town?

I really don’t want to see any walls coming down to be honest…

Campaign yes multiplayer noooo

Well I liked it too, But i will let it pass becuase it had an acient look to it with the vines on the walls and stuff, but seeing beautiful maps like zealot, lockout, penance, narrows and many more falling apart like a bulldozer is getting ready to build a walmart there is not good looking.

Seriously, you people forgot? People here remember a lot… I remember it was in an article back in like December or something. They don’t want full destruction but just a little

When they said destructible, they most likely mean things like boxes, glass and pallets. A building or wall crumbling before your eyes doesn’t really fit in with the way you move around maps in halo. the terrain is key to control, so I don’t see a reason to want to alter it extensively.

Any massive amount of destructible terrain they mentioned is probably directed towards campaign. I’d expect things like doors and small walls being destroyed(most likely in cutscenes or real time sequences). Actually, it will most likely be scripted things that are destroyed as part of the mission progression, now that I think about it(AA turret in halo 3).

I hope you weren’t expecting anything like battlefield XD.

No I wasn’t expecting it to be battlefield scale.

Let me destroy it. I want it to burn. BURN!!!
In all seriousness I could see it being neat in campaign but why would you want to destroy most of the multiplayer maps that are IMO works of art.

I don’t hate zealot. I just really don’t like it.
