Last I remember, the designers said that ordinance drops would eliminate power weapon rushing, hoarding, etc, so players could focus on the game and earn the chance at the power weapons through ordinance drops…
Just played the Castle DLC after a while spent away from Halo 4 and now all the power weapons are available right on the map, right at the start of the game. Played a game or two where literally the entire other team rushed for a weapon/vehicle.
Yeah, did I miss something? 343 had a good idea with earning the power weapons, and then kinda undid it all.
Good, Ordnance(killstreaks) was crap idea in Halo, killstreaks need to stay in CoD (among other things) weapons on map like they are supposed to be, better man gets it.
More skill is better, you want the power weapons? get better,think smarter, no more of this hand holding crap in video games.

Need I remind you people rushed for the weapons in CE and H2 as well? And when rushing for weapons, you do earn them. You successfully beat the other team to the weapon/vehicle and therefore having the upper hand to the match.
Ordinance will only work in Halo if it drops things that require skill to use in combat effectively while not completely creating a huge advantage against other players. I’t would have to be equal drops as well and have a on death reset applied to it to make it more of a challenge to get. Castle feels way better the way it is now.

The tyranny of the majority does not make one right. Halo is never going to go back to 2007, and it wont stay the same as H4. If I had to bet money the next installments will be a happy medium between the two.

How about for Halo 5, we remove all vehicles on the Map and add them to a 4th choice in your Ordnance.
We could have everyone in Scorpions, that would be so much better.

Maybe, not, but usually the majority is onto something.
No idea why 343 thought it would be wise that their next logical step is shoving CoD into Halo, H4 should have at least appeased both, the point of making sequels is to build and improve the series, so far all I see is backtracking in multiple directions, one of which, seems to be CoD-like. I just hope people do enjoy it, cause I’m not getting it, probably not even the nextbox.

I agree with this one. Halo 4 is a beacon of hope to me.
