Still custom classes

Just saying man, i mean look at all these other games with class systems that aren’t cod,… yep…

Part of it depends on how long it takes to unlock classes. I don’t really have a problem between choosing if you want to spawn with an AR or a DMR, or if you can carry a little extra ammo or have more resistance to something (assuming you can tell visually what upgrades they have, IF thats how the news system works) as long as it is not hard to unlock enough elements to stay competitive so everyone has the SAME options, which are different but not superior to other options. load outs in reach aren’t that bad because anyone can choose any load outs. sure, some of them can be abused, but that can be tweaked. In CoD on the other hand, you have players using markedly superior weapons and perks that lower-level players have no ability to access yet.

Oh, and let me add, you could balance it for “competitive” by either turning the features off, or requiring players to use certain abilities. this idea is more for custom tournaments/MLG than for matchmaking, however.
