It’s been five long and lonely years since we have seen the MC, sure we’ve had the Rookie who proved to us the ODST’s were bad -Yoinks!-, and Noble team that have proven S-III’s are pretty good Spartans, well jun was a -Yoink- shot and Kat couldn’t drive. But this year we get the good ole 117 back. With 343 taking over the reins of one of the most prolific gaming franchises of all time whats their time line going to be? Will they use Bungies trusty 3 years or will it be 4 like they did with this game. Will we get any other games like an ODST 2 or maybe another halo wars. I am truthfully hoping we dont have to wait to long for Halo 5. what is everyone else’s thoughts?

Possible Spin-off Game (ODST 2, Halo Wars 2 etc.): 2013-2014
Halo 2 Anniversary: Nov. 9th 2014 (10 Year Anniversary of Halo 2)
Halo 5: 2015-2016
Hopefully there won’t be anything until halo 5 a few years from now. They should focus on making it as great as possible on the inevitable release of new hardware.

If they do make a halo wars 2 let ensemble studios do most of the work and just have 343 manage the story so fewer canon mistakes are made, otherwise halo 4 could last me till five and the next fall out game whenever that comes out.

ensemble closed its doors right after halo wars… But I am really hoping for a ODST 2, I dont want halo to turn into a COD like game but i wouldnt mind having something come out every year, open up a new team and have them work on the side games while the main team works on the trilogy

while a covvie game would be cool i dont know how much i would like it. the whole story is about humanities struggle with its enemies and i love playing a human. I really disliked that part of h2. even tho frankie said that the only things going forward would be games that take place after h3 i would love a FPS about the begining of the war or even the innies war

That would be difficult. Ensemble Studios was disbanded after Halo Wars.
Each of the Halo games in the Trilogy (Master Chief games) have been released withing three years of eachother:
Halo - 2001
Halo 2 - 2004
Halo 3- 2007
Now since Halo 4 is releasing in 2012, a fair estimate would be that Halo 5 may be coming out in 2015.

They were disbanded but the two studio heads went off and formed two seperate studios. I forget the name of the studios though.
