So a buddy of mine came over and played halo 5 for the first time since halo reach. After a couple matches of him doing solid and sometimes even pretty good I say so what do you think about this game? He says its terrible. why? because this game is literally call of duty. Come on guys is it just a coincidence that all new players say this game is just like call of duty. Remember when halo used to be its own game?
Similar to Call of Duty? For real?
If anything, Halo Reach and Halo 4 had more comparison to C.O.D. than Halo 5 does.

Halo used to be it’s own game because there was no CoD back in the day. Now it’s the most popular shooter out there, but in terms of gameplay it’s not like CoD, I think it’s more like those fighting-button-combo games than it is like CoD, which isn’t any better.

I remember when people said that. It wasn’t until MW2 that CoD was so renowned

Im not a troll i used to defend Halo 5 until big team came out… that was still a failure. maybe with the new update things will change but probably not

Just curious, what’s your issues with BTB? Or is it the maps? IMO, they are OK but I don’t want all Forge maps. Or is it BTB being Ranked? Something else?

I would argue that in terms of basic gameplay, Halo 5 has the same pace and movement mechanics as COD. Reach and 4’s similarity were loadouts. The matches play like a cod game, everyone sprinting and boosting and clambering all over the place, not to mention the short TTK
not at all… i disagree with your friend. after playing blops 3 and battlefront for a while. (i took a break from halo 5) Coming back to it this past weekend was horrible. kill times are way slower in halo 5. it plays nothing like blops 3 or battlefront. it is its own monster.
