We don’t really know yet. All we know is that it’s a fps Halo and #Halo5 was used on Xbox’s twitter.
There hasn’t been any side games so far with the Chief being the main protagonist. So it’s probably safe to assume it is Halo 5.
It takes place after Halo 4 and follows the Chief, so chronologically yes. The title hasn’t been confirmed though.

I’m willing to bet that its Halo 5, technically speaking, though I don’t know if that’s what they’re planning to call it. Hopefully ‘Halo Xbox One’ is just a temporary place holder to remind everyone that its time to upgrade so they don’t miss out on the last two thirds of Chief’s current adventure. I really don’t want to see them use that or any weird version of it as the official title. Calling it Halo 5 and saying its an Xbox One exclusive is just fine. My only other idea is that they may have a 360 and Xbox One version, but that would be weird. Honestly, I’m willing to bet it was built for the Xbox one from the ground up, so that’s not likely. Besides, Halo 3 was 360 exclusive and that really helped sales for the console back then. (I know that’s why I got a job and started saving a year before it came out when I was in High school.)
