Somethings I've noticed on Exodus

I’m sure everyone is aware of the glitch in Exodus where the civilians you’re trying to help evacuate early in the mission do not get into the elevator with you even if you wait. However my question is even if that glitch wasn’t there where would the civies go? The elevator takes you to the area where you meet up with the ODST squad known as the bullfrogs who use jetpacks. Obviously the civilians can’t use jetpacks or the troopers you were with before the elevator so what the hell?

Also I noticed in the area with the elevator there are screens on some of the walls that show a blueprint with the words “SECURITY BREACH” written in red letters however the blueprint is of Sword Base it even says Sword Base right on it! Why would there be a screen talking about the conditions of the secretive ONI base in Traxis Tower in New Alexandra?Seems like its probably an oversight by Bungie to me.

The civilians don’t get into the elevator because the evac point’s been taken by the covenant, this is why you go with the ODSTs. They most probably are taken to a different location.

I can’t stand the civilians wandering aimlessly on Exodus. Too many times have I lobbed a plasma only to see it stick to a stupid civilian instead of my intended Brute target.

After seeing the civilians, I started wondering if I was fighting for the wrong side…

T-bag em’

Yeah, if I’ma civilian and I’m under a threat of death by an implacable alien force, I think I’d rather ask for a weapon and shoot a few of hem dead BEFORE succumbing myself. And its not like there aren’t weapons strewn all over the board (and probably the planet!). Hell, make yourself a nice little militia by using Covie weapons taken from your own kills. Then Reach would have an army 750 million strong!

No kidding.

“Oh my god! A big, bad alien with an automatic weapon that shoots big–Yoink- spikes and a super soldier are fighting each other! What should I do? I know - jump right between them!”

Exodus was an odd mission, to say the least. The civilians running into the middle of combat, rather than hiding. The Banshees crashing into walls, and their canopies randomly opening, or flying through the water, or exploding after the rail segment. And then the Army Troopers standing there watching the enemies, not doing anything to help.

Yeah, Exodus is really odd in that way. It’s still my most favorite mission in Reach, but a few things are just odd.

Odd that never happens with me. The civies always stay back and hide when im playing and the troopers especially the ODSTs’ help me out a lot. Just earlier I was going through it on Legendary and I was fighting a chieftain about to die when an ODST headshotted him with a DMR saving my life. They can be of help sometimes.

Also on an unrelated note; on the mission New Alexandria in the N.A. Hospital behind the jammer are some jetpacks. Why are they there? What could you possibly need jetpacks for there?

Really? Even when playing on heroic, the ODSTs all die during the first battle after you picked up the jetpack. Not that I mind - more DMR ammo for me. =D

I guess to make it easier to hijack a Banshee in case you want to turn it into a Phantom.
