No general theme you have to just say something that you want.
Forge, oh wait, that’s confirmed to not be at launch.
sad noises
Decent map variety and game types.
Customs games to not be completely dead due to lack of forge. Hopefully they have a lot of custom game types ready for maps. And I want a lot of maps. At least 8 arena and 4 big team. Minimum.
Co-op
A decently sized campaign.
I’m wondering if campaign will support 4k raytracing at 60fps, would love it if that was in at launch.
A lot games have 1080p rtx 60fps or 4k rtx 30fps, but some can’t even do 60fps and rtx simultaneously at launch and it is added in later at the cost of some of the assets and draw distance missing etc etc. I guess for me the ultimate want is a mode that has raytracing and runs at 60 frames per second.
Can’t wait to see what the campaign looks like now with changing weather. I wonder if the landscape changes at all over time or throughout the game. Would be amazing for instance if the planet is getting destroyed/glassed and it radically changes the scenery for instance.

The fact that there has been no talk about RTX so far leads me to think it won’t be included at launch… but I certainly think 1440p RTX at 60fps is possible. There will also likely be a 1440p/120fps option as well. And maybe a 4K/60fps with no RTX.

Well it wasn’t going to be included last year that was confirmed, but I feel like surely it is now. Maybe they are finalising some things which is why we haven’t seen any campaign footage since the feedback last year. They may be ensuring it is all ready before unveiling anything in case of backlash as people did not like the graphics/lack of rtx last time.

I feel like i see this same thread once or twice every day. I want to see a variety of enemy types to fight. But none to ruin the flow of combat.
Variety of PVE modes and intention to support them with more content.
I was actually hoping that halo Infinite would launch with an evolution of halo reach firefight. I usually play ranked and almost never touch social unless it’s infection or grifball. I do love co-op with my friends and the campaign news was bad but did not matter much to me. At most I play a regular playthrough with my friends and then LASO. It just doesn’t have replayability beyond that for me.
This brings me back to firefight. I think firefight is perfect for replayability in PvE. I think an iteration in halo infinite can go a long way.
Now I said evolution bso here is what I would make myself. You start as your mom spartan with your fireteam and go to a base on zeta halo. You defend for 10 rounds with each round getting harder. You now have to fight your way to a new location on zeta halo. This location will have its own factions to fight that also get increasingly more difficult. I also want random objectives to pop up like retrieve a key and secure an area. So your fireteam is split up, two go to retrieve the key from some random location on zeta halo while the other two are defending an area. I think this can bring some good challenges and replayability. It would also fill in a PvE section outside campaign.
i would like to see a form of firefight in infinite, we haven’t had a good firefight mode for years now.
More than one enemy faction in the campaign
Firefight

M6D
DMR
M90
Co-op
No outlines
Halo Reach progression
The flood
You know, just basically building on and improving the world like Bungie always did, instead of removing things to reinvent them…
Co-op
Firefight
Multiple factions
The flood
Fun weapon sandbox
Enjoyable campaign

I would be fine with RTX at any frame rate, I have a 1440p 32:9 so its about half a million less pixels then 4k IIRC. and i use maxed out ultra raytracing in everything from cyberpunk to BFV multiplayer. I would 100% sacrifice frames for aesthetics.

I never used to be a frame rate snob and wondered why people online were. But after owning PS5 and playing nothing but 60fps games for about 9 months I really struggled with the first 30fps game I played after that. Never could before but now it is alarmingly clear and I can instantly tell and find the 30fps to be so jarring I just can’t enjoy the game. So given the choice I would sacrifice the resolution for frames every time.
Especially on games like Demon’s Souls where the resolution differences feel so minor.
Some sort of feature or system to let me solo que against other solo players most of the time in matchmaking.

ahh for me its that i grew up with an xbox (original) and a PC that got like 13fps on garrys mod so now that i have top of the line PC i dont normally have to choose but i would personally sacrifice frame rate over anything first. Gsync and FreeSync help out alot these days aswell as good implimentations of LFC makes it to where i dont notice when im not running high FPS anymore.
