When I open either the Halo app or the Halo 5 Force app (tried both ways) I just get “Something Went Wrong” with a link to this forum. Not even a visible error code. Not sure what I’m supposed to troubleshoot with. I just installed Anniv update and also updated the Store app and the Halo apps. Kind of stuck…and I’m a (non-game) software developer so I am not often stuck.
Having the same issue on the East Coast.
@MorganJoyliter, I got halo 5 forge to open up by uninstalling the HALO App itself (not Forge though) through right clicking Halo on the windows command and hitting uninstall. Hope this helps you.
@Milpool666, that is strange because running Forge from the Halo app was listed as a possible solution to the problem in a reddit thread. Clearly they have some tweaking to do with the interplay between these two softwares. I will try your suggestion and report back tonight. Would love an official solution/assistance too.
The halo app has been updated to address some of the most common crash issues. Please go to the windows store, check for updates, download the latest version and let us know how it goes.
