Recently, while looking around for stuff on the internet, I found an article about -Yoink!- Rememberence Day. The auther had gotten to know the oldest -Yoink!- survivor (108 years old!). Alice (the survivor) had taught the author 7 (not intended to be a Bungie reference) life lessons, 3 of which made me think of the Halo Community.
#1. Hatred only begets hatred.
There has been a bit of hate recently. Hate will not do anything constructive, but spread hate and make this forum unpleasant. The forum is for discussion, and filling it with hate will not help get much done.
#6. Complaining does not help. It makes everyone feel bad.
While there has been good constructive critisism, there has been a lot of just complaining. Complaints may seem like a good way to get your opinions spread and heard, but it doesn’t help anything. We (or I’m guessing we) want this forum to be a good place for Halo fans to come and discuss the thing we all love, Halo. Complaining will not aid good discussions, and complaints have often buried many threads here. A forum filled with complaints will not get much done. Taking the time to make good constructive critisism, or at least organizing the complaints so they are less… spamming, will make things better for everyone.
#7. Faith is stronger than fear.
I like this one the best. People here are evidently afraid of where Halo is going, and that is fine. But many are letting the fear blind themselves. Forgetting the good things. Instead of fearing that Halo 4 will fail and not be Halo, why don’t we have faith that the game will be a successful Halo title?
I believe these have raised some good points, that can be used by this community too.
> People are going to complain regardless. It’s a never ending cycle.
Unfortunatly, that is true. It would just make things so much better if the complaints were more organized, as if people actually added on to threads instead of making a new one every single time.
