In all honesty i am getting quite frustrated with the community. The whole “halo=COD in space thing.” we all know that Halo is trying to draw more people in. doesn’t matter where they come from. But thats why its showing to be more like a traditional FPS then a halo game. But whats getting to me is that people are claiming that because some ideas seem COD esque that its going to be like COD.
Wich means it will play act and feel like it. The ideas “coming” from COD: Kill streaks or ORD drops, instant respawn AA’s “perks” etc.
But people don’t seem to realize some of those things are only in infinity slayer and not the whole game. And while they share a common “idea” they behave different.
EX: kill streaks: earned by getting x amount of kills in a row with out dying. fly air vehicles drop boms etc. ORD drops: earned by any points you earn in infinity slayer, no reset upon death, earn 2 different weapons or a power up, out come of your drop is determined by your performance.
So while they share something they are both very different. same can be said about the rest i mentioned. Now look, i wasn’t really excited about the “perks” and instant spawns. But they won’t be in every playlist. (don’t know about the perks but instant spawn is infinity slayer only) so with other playlists we will have a more normal or something where used to. I think people should atleast give it a try instead of bashing it before they’ve even tried it. Halo 4 won’t be the halo we are used to. It won’t be the best halo ever. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be good.
i personally am ok with how the multiplayer looks and plays but kinda nervous at the same time but im sure it’ll be fine, now you mentioned that the load outs and such will be only in infinity slayer, will we have other game modes besides classic slayer that will play as classic halo? also do you know what other game modes besides infinity slayer that will feature load outs, weapon drops etc or is infinity slayer the only game mode that will have that? theres some things im still not sure of.

im pretty sure load outs are in all gametypes. bar classic. but things i KNOW that are in infinity only are ORD drops instant respawn no weapons on maps no resupply of grenades off dead spartans unless you have the resupply perk on. i heard perks might be infinity slayer only but not confirmed.
but as far as i know load outs and AA’s will be in all playlists besides classic playlists(s) since there will be more then one classic playlist.
when i said “normal halo” i meant like normal slayer will have power weapons spawns. grenades on map and off dead spartans etc. things weve delt with before.

If they said they’ll put classic playlists I’m sure there will be only 1/2 tops and the rest will be default (and maybe 1 MLG playlist, if H4 manages to live up to the competitive side of gaming).
Reach gave me the biggest let down I’ve ever had as a gamer. I hope H4 will be great and I’ll enjoy it, but at this point I’m not even hopeful.

pft. every company is in it for the money. some just care more about there fanbase then others. bungie (for the most part) cared alot about us and hopefully 343 does too.they said playlists. so atleast there will be 2. plus even though halo reach wasn’t in the MLG circut it still had and kept an updated MLG playlist. theres 3 right there for you. But i guess its better to have low expectations then over hyped ones.
I feel you Razr. Like I stated in the last thread I was just in, people are going to stay in the past and never look to the new generation. People aren’t seeing past what 343 is revealing and see what THEY want to see. They sit here and bash Halo 4 because they think that this is going to be this way and that when they don’t know the full story. 343 can’t help that and neither can we. 343 reveals things to us and its what people want to see. If they cannot see the whole puzzle, then that isn’t their fault. Theres confirmed to be playstyles such as classic and new but people look right past info like that. Some see the whole picture, some don’t. Thats basically the Waypoint community right now.

Reach was in the MLG circuit, but it almost got dumped. It was saved by the TU in extremis. I hope H4 will do much better.
