The music is good in it, but the songs themselves throughout the campaign never attach and memorable moments to them. I was just listening to the H3 soundtrack the song “Never Forget” and I got this feeling of emptiness inside of me as I realized we will probably never have a musical genius like Marty in a Halo game ever again and all the music will just be integrated into the game play and never have any memorable moments to it. Not even the song when Cortana dies can bring up a feeling like the songs that Marty made. Does anyone else agree?
I am still baffled by why 343i left out the main theme for halo. You know, that piece of music with the monks that has been in every halo game since ce? They have the rights for it, but chose not to use it.
Yea that didn’t make much sense to me either. That was one of the most known and loved parts of Halo for me and my group of friends and probably a lot of other people throughout the community
Best part in the Campaign was when Chief arrived at Installation 03 and the old familiar monk chant started nearly teared up
There are also some really good tracks in Halo 4 Soundtrack that i barely even hear in the Campaign. Yes I am looking at you “Awakening” which appeared for a whopping five seconds when chief is jumping to the liches at the end of Shut Down. Or To Galaxy which i could barely hear at the end of Reclaimer.
