Let me start off by saying that I think Reach is a great game even with its alternative playstyle and minor canon breaches because they don’t bother me to much, what does bother me are two particular AA’s that I hate for reasons I can’t really explain.
These two armour abilities are the infamous armour lock and the drop shield, obviously most of us know of the armour locks gamebreaking ways and its endless critism by many fans of the original trilogy. My reasons for hating them are stupid, I despise armour lock because it only prolongs your inevitable death and wastes time for you and your opponent as well as the fact that the user is invincible. Not to mention for some magical reason non-power-armoured Brutes can use it which bothers me quite a bit (Unless they have some kind of plug-in on their belt). I dont really no why I dislike the drop shield but I do.
My feelings towards the other Armour abilities are actually quite welcoming however, if I am killed by an opponent in any way as the result of the use of anything but armour lock or the drop shield I say tooshay and get on with it.
This is just something I had to get off my chest. I welcome any constructive criticism regarding my badly explained reasons of my dislike for these two specific armour abilities and if you feel the same way as I do I would be happy if you let me know.

I very rarely use AL, Im not using that quote as any ‘cheap ploy’ it just annoys me when I am just about to kill someone they go into armour lock and I get shot in the back by their teammate.

I was just being stupid and now that I look back that does sound incredibly stupid. I continue to play Reach regardless of AL and I put up with it but I still standby my opinion minus the standing still complaint.

Halo’s a fast paced game with unexpected consequences for sticking your head out a door, if im on a map like Sword Base its very difficult to recon your opponents when they are out of sight with AL and a power weapon.

I hate armor lock with a passion, and I think it’s just an inusrance policy for people who suck, but it’s not a huge deal. I dont see AL a whole lot anymore, and even if I do its not something that bugs me to the point where I think any less of this game. This whole AL argument is overdone anyways, just let it die already.
