Something similar to Bungie Pro

In the future, like when Halo 4 is out, I’d like to see something like Bungie Pro where we can render our films and put it on the internet for all to see. Since I don’t have a capture card or anything else, I can’t do it. I just think it would be something that would be good to have. Maybe not release it first day, but at some point.

Yeah, but this time 343…make it free.

Good service is a paid service…

Good service? I’m paying money for something that I could probably do for free, provided I have the right tools.

but wouldnt you having the right tools cost money?

Anyways it should be free though.

Say that to BF3’s Battlelog.

It should not as it is a SERVICE done for you.
For that reason it costs money because else it will be poorly done meaning it would be better if you had the right tools and money.

I don’t think you people understand service very well since you can’t keep it seperated from something you do yourself.

Or waypoint for that matter but I’m talking about a different service.
Battlelog and Waypoint are not the same as a rendering service.

It’s economics, I saw this stuff in class.
There are free services (like the community of your town keeping you up to date with changes through lets say a newspaper that’s free for the towns folk) and paid services (like the post office or the subway/underground).
Let’s say the post office were free (since the subway is hard due to the fact is partly the communities blame when it comes to vandalism), your post is free but it would take over maybe a month to reach its destination. Just for the record, there are different pay options at the post office so don’t complain about your mail arriving to late.

I think the cost of the game more than covers forit. This is not Bungie, 343i are not an independant company and they don’t need the money as much as Bungie did. Alllowing everyone a small cap of minutes per month for free (with extras costing money) would be the best way to both atract fans and prove their love. 343 give it free, please.

Or at least make it purchasable with -Yoink!- points.

Also, assuming the 5 render point renewal is adopted, instead of making it renew to 5 every month regardless of the current number, make it stack on if there is at least 1 render point. I can’t render some of my longest films because I don’t use Amazon. I like Bing Rewards for the aforementioned reason (yes I am cheap). It’s consistent.

Finally, why can’t it be like this? The SSBB film files are not actual films either afaik. I’d like to be able to transfer films to my computer and watch them from there.

It should definitely be free. An expanded file share and video rendering. Microsoft has enough money already anyway.

I’m liking that my idea is getting all this attention, but wouldn’t it be better to focus on the idea first, THEN debate about service fees?
