Hi there my name is Generai Pug. i play custom games mostly (because mm is not fun imo) when i say i play custom games mostly it means i spend alot of time gathering people it can take up to 30 minutes sometimes to get a game going. So what brings me to this post i am writing is because of something that happened to me and im sure it happens to others. I had a small lobby of about 4 people going (not enough for a game) so one guy tells me “hey can i show you a map ive been working on” so i say yeah why not. i gave him leader (MISTAKE). So he shows me the map. And as hes showing me the map im gathering up randoms and the party is filling up. We return to the pre game lobby and i ask for leadership back. He acts like he doesn’t hear me and starts up a tediously long game. The game ended and he gave me leader and all of the party left (including him) when it was my turn. So long story short if you are this person or someone who does this F. YOU sincerely. I didn’t host something so you could steal the lobby away. So the next time you see someone hosting a big custom game. Guess what, the leader didnt host that just so u can say “hey i got some maps” instead of saying that be quiet and play and when the leader has shown his maps then ask you have no place asking for leadership in a fresh new lobby. I only let my guard down because i was being nice but seriously this guy is a POS.

also, next time so body asks you that, just say “it’s ok, I can get it from your file browser” and look at his map/gamemode variants and bookmarks them.

Not really because my buddies would rather grind rank and rp, but I totally understand why you’re angry. I’d be pissed! Happened quite a bit to me in halo 3.
Always download other peoples maps/gametypes when hosting a lobby. You can download maps in their bookmarks and files not bookmarked.
Don’t let one bad encounter get you down mate.
You learnt a lesson so take that experience and move on to having custom fun.
Block the guy so you don’t have to worry about him anymore.

i 100% prefer to make my own games/maps
Yeah, I would say that it was your mistake to hand over lobby leadership in the first place. You could have easily just scrolled through his map variants and bookmarked the map yourself. Guys sounds like a -Yoink-, to be sure, but I would just say let this be a lesson learned and don’t be so trusting towards random players in the future.

yeah definitely learned from this experience. An sadly i didn’t think to scroll through his maps but this is what im gonna do next time.
