I’ve just changed my name and now on waypoint (on the PC) it wont show my service record claiming that I havnt played reach
I’ve changed my name before and nothing happened but I wasnt on the forums back then so im a bit curios of wether or not it has messed up or is just having to edit all the things on here to compensate for the changes
my new name is: Biotic Khajiit and my old name was: Th3SHARPSHOOTER
I’m not sure but I think it takes a while to process gamertag changes. Don’t worry though, I’ve seen plenty of threads like this before.

thanks mate it was just slightly nerve racking that it would be messed up by putting my old name in places and my new name in others

It’s the same issue when b.net was registering gamertag changes. Give it about a week and it may update, just remember this is Waypoint and we don’t know how well the servers operate on updating stats for GT’s…
Trust me, it takes some time.
My old gamertag was hacked, and I could never get it back, so I had to change it’s gamertag to “SHADOWSTRIKEone” and then I changed my new gamertag from “SHDWSTRK1boy” to “SHADOWSTRIKE1” (my original tag). I really screwed things up then. It took Waypoint a while to sort things out.
Funny thing is, it copied my old Halo 2 info from my old gamertag and put it’s stats on my new gamertag
I’ve changed my gamertag so much that the game no longer recognizes any of my old tags on Halo 3 or the Halo Reach Beta
I always wanted the DMR plate, but since they aren’t available anymore, meh.
But yes, just give it sometime. Some changes will take longer than others.
