Now, I’m not one to complain for the odd game or two but today takes the biscuit. I have been in a number of slayer matches with quiters, to the point where I’m the only one left in my team. I carried on regardless but this is a lost cause. There is no reward if you carry on regardless but only punishment if I quit too. 343i have to do something about this. It would make sense to end a game in progress if half your team have quit.

People are frequently banned for repeatedly quitting matches. Stick around the forums for a little while and you’ll be able to catch the countless threads that come and go with people commenting on their bans.
Unfortunately 343 (or any developer really) can’t exert total control over player behavior. People are sore losers and some are jerks…there will always be quitters. Best thing to combat that is to run with friends and/or a Spartan Company.

What broken system are you referring to?
I know the ban system is a balancing act as there may be a genuine reason such as dropped internet connection. On the other hand when half your team is gone, why not give the remaining members the option of ending the match early without penalty? or carry on for extra XP or REQ points? This would be fair I think.
Agreed. I want a more sophisticated banning system that can hit quitters harder without being as harsh towards players with intermittent connection issues. Bungie’s system with Destiny is capable of differentiating between quitting and disconnecting by internet issues (error code production). Perhaps 343i should take a page from their book.

I don’t think its that simple. People could just unplug a cable instead of pressing the “quit” button.
You have to join a Spartan Company and you have to stop going in with randoms. There is no other solution. If there was they would have implemented it by now.
Just keep reporting them. I must report one or two people a day!

I dont think you will see this much any more as I think most have just moved on to other games
It happens sometimes. Could be network issues across the board. I got kicked from a warzone game halfway through. I was not a happy camper (not a camper at all anyways lol)
To really change people’s attitudes and views on “Quitting on purpose”, the community should not condone such behaviour and actively speak out against quitting.
Only by reporting quitters and making it socially unacceptable will peoples attitudes change.
It would be good if you had the option to truly block players who quit as well as report them so that only the quitters would end up playing with other quitters.
yea im not about to stay in a 2v4 or 1v4 match. If its objective then ill stay cus the enemy will just end the game but if its slayer screw it ban me if you want.
They may not be able to differentiate between people who got disconnected and people who purposely pull the plug but could they tell the difference between people who quit while their team is full and people who quit when it’s 2v4 or 1v4? That idea doesn’t seem difficult.

But, it will discourage people who are purposely quitting because they are loosing or they don’t like the map. They deserve bronze due to proving issues to others.

Boosters with secondary accounts would take advantage of that so bad
