I was just thinking but I heard the flood were created as a test to help defeat the humans/forerunners in the 2nd book. Not sure if that’s true since only on the first book so its mostly speculation.
So I was wondering if there’s something more dangerous than the flood? I have been reading the books, trying to understand the mysterious so I can get more hyped for halo 4. Yes I know there’s no flood but I’m quite curious what could be there that made the precursers, forerunners dissappear. Because I could have sworn the galaxy was supposed to be repopulated but the forerunners seem to be missing, it does seem strange that precursers knights suddenly turn up out of nowhere for such a long time after a few years since the covenant/human war.
Then there’s the giant sphere with someone unknown in there from the e3 trailer. For all I know that could be the forerunner in the forerunner books that I have been reading about but until halo 4 or the 3rd book comes out things may be unclear. I haven’t read the 2nd yet.
Maybe there’s answers in the 3rd forerunner book when it’s released but loved to hear what new threat people would love to see, I don’t mean one’s we already know about.
