Johnson kinda…died…yeah. 343GS burned a large hole in his chest, his body was left on the Halo-04 replacement and it then tore itself apart upon activation.
Staker may not be 100% canon. Due to his appearance in each game, he (and Dubbo) has appeared in two places at once (Delta Halo in Halo 2 and New Mombassa in ODST).
I like Palmer, although from the Spartan-Ops videos and character portrayal i fear the Spartan IV’s lack the cold professionalism that was portrayed in the SII’s and to some extent SIII’s.
Spartan Miller seems to be a tech geek.
It is a shame that they feel like ODST next to 117.

In ODST we did not see GNYSGT Stacker. Instead the same voice actor was playing a new character who was a SGT of the New Mombassa Police Force, not the UNSC.
It’s like how Nathan Fillion played both Sgt Reynolds in Halo 3, and Sgt Buck in ODST/Reach. Same voice actor, two different characters.
> I would have liked one Scarab battle myself they would have been great
Well, we got a Lich battle. And saying it doesn’t count because it’s scripted doesn’t fly, because Halo 2’s scarab battle was 100% scripted, and it was the best in the series.

For me, this was one of TWO best moments in the Halo series…
The other one being when the Foward Unto Dawn enters atmosphere in Halo 3 right above your head in that canyon and drops down three scorpions, the music, the feel at the point was incredible.
With halo 4 campaign, i expected the scene where 117 finally comes into contact with another spartan to be equally spine-tingly… it wasn’t, it was a huge let down

Stacker himself appears in the level Kizingo Boulevard. There are a number of occasions where his VA has voiced other characters (Keyes, an NMPD officer, a Sabre pilot) but it is confirmed that the character in Kizingo Boulevard is Stacker.
