Something Interesting I found...

[Total H3 Kills: 75,973,171,191
Total Melee Kills: 13,400,000,000
Ratio: 17.64%

Total Reach Kills: 23,022,010,012
Total Melee Kills: 3,600,000,000
Ratio: 15.64%](http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/online.aspx)

Huh.

Mebbe No-Bleed is better since it seems that the number of “unskilled” melee kills has gone down and people are instead relying on aiming their guns.

why is there a differences between the weapon kills and the medals earned?

Energy Sword and Gravity Hammer.

An interesting find, I always suspected that this was the case but until recently, lacked the evidence.

Infection is a permanent playlist, it is also the most populated. Since no human in that gametype in their right mind melees, the data may be a bit skewed.

sword doesnt count towards the melee.

the pistol is the reason that i dont have more melee kills.

so they may of fixed melees but they broke so much other things, like grenades, i die TWICE as much in reach by them then in halo 3.

“THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYIN TO YOU!”

The real numbers never supported all the crazy TU talk.

I mean, the more you look at this the less sense Reach Haters make.

Well you are a mass produced spartan with aluminum armor. Take Kat for example at how well it holds up.

> Infection is a permanent playlist, it is also the most populated. Since no human in that gametype in their right mind melees, the data may be a bit skewed.

Melees block the Sword in Infection and are used quite extensively to do so by the experienced players.

And yes with Infection and Grifball being permanent playlists from the beginning, that means the beatdowns in “regular” games in Reach are much lower compared to Halo3, but that’s skewed in the opposite direction to what you wish.

Can’t compare a cheeseburger to a turd.

You obviously do not understand how our digestive systems work.

LoL.

Metaphor.

Cheeseburger: yummy, awesome, delicious. (H3)
Turd: -Yoink!-, stinky, origins could be cheeseburger, but still stinky and bad. (Reach)

> Can’t compare a cheeseburger to a turd.

you’re in denial.

Am I the only thinking these can barely be compared because Halo 3 has been out for 4-5 years while Reach hasn’t been out for two years yet?

Or am I missing something hugely?

Frags account for 2% and Stickies account for 1% of your competitive-deaths in Reach.
In Halo3, frags account for about 3.5% and Stickies account for about 3.5% of your competitive deaths.
Or if you will, you have about 3000 Reach games and 1157 deaths from grenades. But in Halo3, out of about 2000 games, you have died 1329 times from grenades.

As you can see, you assumptions/feelings are incorrect.

Analogy not a metaphor.
And your belief that turds are bad is competely false as well.

I’m not in denial of anything. It’s my opinion.

Those numbers don’t mean anything to me. At. All.

You used to have to shoot people in Halo. Now you do not.

its weapon to melee kill ratio, in reach people get more kills with weapons then melee then compared to halo 3 meaning in halo 3 melee was more effective then it is in reach which goes against what everyone has been screaming for a year …

We get it. This game is easier for you to get kills than H3 was. And you can rank up as high as your little fingers will allow you without having to win or do well.

> You used to have to shoot people in Halo. Now you do not.

odd, the OP proves the oposite of this hence my comment …

if you didn’t have to shoot in reach then the melee to weapon ratio would be higher then what it was in halo 3.

I am aware of the logic-thinking process you and some of your friends prefer.
