So i was thinking about how fast the kill times in Halo 5 are and i was originally going to make a post about lowering the RoF but instead i have come to a very important realization for the “Classic Playlist.”
So like i said the RoF is very fast for all weapons. It makes the kill times very fast, to counter the wacky movement abilities, which actually makes sense. But if they made a playlist that was just Halo 5 but all of the spartan abilities are turned off, that would be recieved VERY poorly among fans because the TTK is too fast. Now im not saying making the actual like trigger RoF slower but instead the bullets in general. So make the bullets in a BR burst come out slower for example, obviously though some guns like the DMR, Pistol and Carbine would need a trigger pulling RoF turn down. But thats a very odd thing for 343 to change for one playlist, so i thought of a way for changes like this and any other ones that they may need to add could be implemented.
Make it its own mode. Like the same way FFA has no teams or infection has zombies and survivors, make a general “classic” mode that has all of these traits enabled so that people can still go in and make the game modes they want but with the old halo settings. so you then have “normal” modes like Slayer and infection, but then you could also have like Slayer Classic and infection classic. Two different base settings, for two separate modes. and i wish there was a different word for it other than modes, ill call them “lists” for now. and hey if they do this why stop there, they could add whole other lists with there own set of abilities and balancing settings specific to that list.
Just a thought but i hope you guys like it and even expand upon it.
